If you can’t find it, get Purple Power or just use regular bleach.
I was searching and saw this thread like ten minutes ago. I also had my tailights pulled out of my car to seal them up because water kept getting into them. After reading just the last two pages I ran into the utility room. grabbed some bleach. turned the faucet to warm. filled it with warm water and bleach in no particular mixture, shook, and wah lah! Took me about 10minutes for both.
guess i was just lucky!
MY INPUT:
I did this to one of my lights on sunday, and just ran out of time to do the other. I found that bleach took about 2 hours just to start fading the pink, so I filled the light and went to wal mart. I was shopping for groceries, and happened to pick up a bottle of castrol super clean while I was there. It worked great and within about 10 minutes the light was beautiful. I put the light back on my car and drove home. I plan to do the other one tommorow, but I will see if I can get a pic before I do the other one!
nick and his 90 gs
Does anyone know if there is a chemical that will eat away the orange insert on my 93 tails? I am trying to avoid taking them apart.
yeah thats not gonna happen. Get some 90-91’s
^^^ wow that looks awesome against the green
snowguy,
That looks great.
just did mine today. damn what a difference without those stupid pink lines. it was going to rain so I had to quick get the lights back in without letting them dry all the way. hopefully the condensation goes away
^You can remove all the bulb sockets and use a blow dryer to dry them out. Just let the hot air circulate around the housing to pick up any moisture. I just did a set earlier this week. Took me about 40mins for both sides including the drying time.
The DA on the right :
^^ did you sand down the inside piece at all?
Mine didnt come out as white as that… they’re more of a grey color.
But still better than the damn pink.
No sanding at all. That’s just strictly using Super Clean.
Before and after.
Hi all, I have a single question:
I want to take out all the wiring and the bulb of the headlight but a white plug (the one that we disconnect when removing from the car) is clipped and wont come off. Do you think It’ll hurt something if I cut the clips without damaging the plug?
Thanks

Simple Green And Warm To Hot Water
Simple Green And Warm To Hot Water Was All I Used. It Took 15 Mins
Thanks you guys for this mod. It looks great. I used the purple power and hot water from the sink. It took more time to poor the water and cleaner in the tails than it did to get the pink lines out. Here are some pics. There still wet i was too excided to wait from them to fully dry. :excite: :salute:
In Here (Turkey) we dont have castrol cleanin bla bla.
What did you use alternative?
did anyone use WD-40?
Regular bleach works just fine too.
