will this work on 92-93 tails?? anyone know… hell fuc k it ima try it anyways lol!
there are not any painted lines in 92-93 tails, it is an orange plastic piece
omg. I tried it on my 92-93 tails and it cleared out the orange amber piece… it looks awesome!!!
not really. lol. that’d be funny though if it miraculously turned clear hehehe
I would be more than a little scared of a chemical that could change the color of the plastic.
I think i like the sanding 1 better. I tried it on my tails yesterday and i compare it to my homeboy’s sanded tails, it looks more white rather then clear so I think I’m gonna have to sand mine down. Nevertheless it still looked a lot better then stock.
Has anyone done this on a 4 door tail lights? I took mine out today, but it seems the pink lines are contained ‘inside’ the lenses. What i mean is like the pink lines are in between 2 clear sections. On 2 doors are the pink lines right on the inner layer? Ill upload some photo’s. here’s the pics. the first one is a shot of the lens from the inside… maybe its kinda hard to see, but its clear plastic in there. then the second shot is the lens from the outside
Great tip. my lights look great. sorry to hear about yours frosty. you car would look deadly with them. but your new idea will be origional aswell and look good
Haha…my idea isn’t original, it’s a teg tip as well. I finished painting them, now I just have to remove the roughness of the clearcoat. I’ll post pics when they’re all done.
Are all you guys doing this to your lights doing 2 door tails?
Yeah the ones I did are from a 2 door
on the 2 door tail, can you actually feel the pink lines from the inside of your light? so say, if you took a screw driver to it, you could scratch the pink line?
^ no there is another lense in the way, I think it is clear. But the liquid will go past them to the lines.
let me tell you took me two hours to do it because i wasnt familiar with how the taillights came off [girlfriends ride] and does it look better. The yellow bulb looks a bit brighter. I only paid like 5 bucks for the gallon of castrol super clean and for the price this mod is decent. Overall i would recommend it over taking the lights apart if you are not too keen on doing that. Great Integra Tip

I’ll be picking up my 90 tails and some super clean later this week! Those all look fabulous!
arg…how the hell are you suposed to remove the tail lights without cracking them. There are 6 studs coming into the trunk cabin of which on 5 of mine had small bolts were the last had a black peice of plastic which looked to be holding tailight wires. I knocked the 4 bolts closest to the center of the car with a hammer until they were dislodged from the metal and began to pry because i had no way to knock out the ones closest to the fender and my tails started to crack around the little black taillight vent. Im scared to break it off now and dont want to go any further. Can anybody tell me or assist me on what to do?
There should be six nuts on each tail that need to be removed.Once you have them removed unlpug the wiring harness and the tail should come straight out.The outer two nuts are the ones that are a pain to get to you have to bend back your side linings a little to get to those ones.If your tails have never been off then the foam gasket will probably rip a part.I recomend you get some new ones from your dealer the part # is 33503-SK7-A01.
Hmmmm, see on mine, on the outter studs only one has a nut on it the other has a black plastic peice that holds down the tailigt wires. It seems as though mine have never come off before though becuase they are soooooo tight. I got them loose by banging on the back of the studs with a hammer to seperate them from where they are nested but i cant really get to the ones on the outside beecause they are covered by the trunk side panels.
so to do this, i could pour some water in there with some of that castrol super clean stuff, tape the holes shut and shake it around. is that how u guys are doing this?
also, how do i make sure the silicon sealing the tailights is still good after doing this?i have some clear silicone sealant. do i just use that around the silicon that is already on the light?
