Remove pink lines in 90-91 tails without taking tails apart

Take that black plastic piece off and there IS a nut behind it.

Yep, but I didn’t tape them up, I just shook the light back at forth, and repeated several times till the pink was white.

I haven’t gotten that far yet. I decided to sand down the outside lense to remove any small scratches, and those raised letters around the reflector part, and then shoot a few coats of some clear spray paint over them, then color sand that and polish it up. But I ran out of the clear spray paint, and haven’t been to the store to pick up more to finish them. Plus this is an extra set of lights i was working on, and my car is in the body shop so I haven’t put them on yet to see if they get moisture in them. But i was planning on laying some new silicone in the gap between the lense and housing to seal it up nice and good in case the super clean weakend the orignial seal.

…after I saw that second pic where it was kinda dark…I’ll go out on a limb and say that as far as 90-91 tails go…04falcon’s tails are now the best i’ve ever seen.

Lets all clap it up

Went out bought some castrol cleaner… got some hott ass water poured them bothin my tails lights shook’em like crazy rinsed did that like 3 times an my tail lights look like they should BANGIN  lol ill post pics asap

Roger that. I got mine off and did the same and just got them back on and working. It looks fantabulous! WARNING THOUGH: Avoid excessive shaking of the wiring harness/bulbs because I ended up having to jump in my moms car and drive to cambodian tire to fetch me a few brake lights. I guess the shaking dislodged the filaments. To all ive shown (gf and family), they really liked. I find that great considering every little thing i spend hours on perfecting or cleaning doesnt get noticed or they dont like. F THEM! :gunright: .

Get this, my dad told me yesterday that he thought my car is getting too old and I should think about selling it and buying a DC. Hahaha. That was great! Ive already decided that the only car I would sell my car for would be a nice RSX type S so… looks like the DA will be mine for a while until I get accepted into Air Traffic controller school.

Sorry for the personal splurge but…meh.

GREAT MOD

thats a shame. i’d rather have a g2 or g3 then an RSX any day. and i would NEVER consider gettin rid of either for an RSX.

I guess I didn’t mention this earlier, but though it was an obvious thing to do. I removed the wire harness/light bulbs before doing this.

Heres my whip! after all the pink lines are out, i love this best mod eva for sure

sorry for the date thing on the pics… forgot to check before snapping pics…

some more before, and afters!

I already bought my super clean, and i’m guna do it this week when i get a chance, i cant wait!!

ok i tried this today and it worked out pretty good… kinda
i used KENCO heavy duty degreaser which also has alkaline
my problem is that it worked for one tail light
but the other didnt clear out at all lol
this is a pic with them cleared… as u can see the top light didnt change one bit but the bottom did… what do i do !!!

i’d say u might wanna try to open if up and do it the old school way.

Just get some castrol super clean for the other one.

i think the reason my second one isnt clearing is coz its a totally brand new tail light that hasnt had any sun exposure at all
ill just have to go to a wrecker tomorrow and trade it for a used tail light thats been in the sun for the last 15 years and hope for the best…

Hey fella’s

I had done the same thing but because i am in Australia, Castrol super clean isnt easily available. So obv i did some research finding out that it is known for being extra high in alkaline (hence mr integra suggesting). Mine came out great and i used Series 500 Grease Release.

I have posted this same topic at ozhonda.com but not to steal the topic or anything but rather spread the word and marvel at someone elses findings.

Great tip. Deff should be archived. (TEGTIPS)

(Ignore the car’s height… its only temporary) :giggle:
