its not painted black thats the colour of the plastic

nvm, I was doing 1 tail light for hours… Then it began to turn white in spots… gave up 30 minutes later… threw the tail lights back on, went to a hobby shop and bought window tint spray and tinted the tail lights :roll:

i put water into a coffee maker, and first put in the castrol super clean… when the water was done, i poured it in little by little swishing it around. they look great, i hadnt taken pictures yet though.

So i called Acura dealership. and quoted me for the tail light seals… yea $24 a peice! forget that. I went to Home Depot and got some weather stripping… this will work fine. the stuff i got is a little too wide. a 10ft role of this cost $3.49. and is same material as the OEM stuff.

i just picked up my super clean…but the only thing…in order to take out the tail lights do the entire back paneling have to come off??

I don’t have any Super Clean, but I have this other stuff. I was wondering if it would work just as well. Its called Super Strength Greased Lightning.

i am getting ready to super clean clear my tails on my 90 sedan and was wondering if it will clear as quick and fully as the 2 door tails?

it took me forever to get this done, i was swishin that soapy water around in my tails for like a half hour before that pink started comin off. But if u stick with it it’ll work. By the way, if you can’t get Super Clean any Alkaline cleaner degreaser will work. I recomend that you get Maximum Strength though.

shulda boiled the water first. it makes a HUGE dif. if you boil the water it only takes 1 swhoosh secesion to get the pink out… :rockon:
