Just finished my first tail, the majority of pink was gone after the first couple minutes. Then for the stubborn spots I let the degreaser soak for about 15-20 minutes, then washed it out with some boiling water.

man, i did this and only one side cleared up. so i kept on doing it to the other side, and it stripped it down to the black on some parts, white on others, and still pink in others!!! arghhhh :mad:
I just had the same problem with my drivers side taillight, my passenger side came out perfect so Im not sure what happened. Basically certain areas of the white lines stripped down further to silver/grey. Now im looking for another drivers side tail 
Just did the Super Clean Trick…Must say they turned out better then expected! 1st side came out flawless…2nd side gave me a little trouble…I think I let it ‘swirl’ around too long and I did get some slightly darker spots in the line…nothing that Im gonna worry too much about…

Whats the easiest way to get the tail light out of my car … :stare: also you you think simple green would work b/c it’s a de-greaser just like the super clean is it not
Same situation. my passangers side came out great but my drivers side turned gray in some spots no pink left though. I am just going to try to get them all grey.
Well, if you keep your passenger side the way it is I could always sell you my drivers side that came out perfect. (pictured in my post above)
I tried on another set of tails and the drivers side turned straight up black (looked great gave the tail a tinted look). So I attemted to get the other the same way. Just wasnt happening it ended up all blotchy and remained white and grey in some areas. I gave up on them, Im just gonna buy a set of 92-93 tails like a should have in the first place. :bang:
Umm a lot of people in Australia have been using degreaser and turps…
They have said it works quick and effective.
Mine worked fine with a generic degreaser similar to Super clean so i havent tried it myself. But mixed with turps instead of water may do the trick, but i dont take responsibility if it stuffs up

Sorry screwed up in my post… Left Side Is Perfect. Right side is grey/white, I couldnt get all the white off still so took a trip to the junkyard. Will see how this works. If not i may be interested in your white tail in the pic above.

The lights i picked up are staying pink for some reason… they look like they may have been replacements… how much would you like for that white passengers?
ive gone through 2 lights, now im on my 3rd, hopefully this works…
dillute the fuck out of the degreaser… thats my advice
if its just a tad too strong it strips right through the lines.
Did a second set for a friend today…still positive results!
I added a little water 1st then the Super Clean, then some more water ‘swished’ that around for about 5mins and rinsed… PERFECT I didnt even use warm water in this set…
BTW I am in Tucson,Az where we average 115+ in the summer months…this could have an effect on the “pink” left in the tails…
My suggestion to those having problems and still want to continue
Just like shampoo
Do it in small amounts…rinse and repeat as necessary

yeah i did my taillights like two days ago. I was a little nervous doing them cause they were such clean lights. But dapnoy helped me out and honestly it only took two minutes each light. I dont understand why but the pink was removed almost instantly.
Im diggin the ‘smoke’ look…? :naughty:
yea, my driver’s side was like that, my pass.’ is on its 3rd try
