I took unbolted the muffler for an hour or so after to see what it sounded like right off the resonator. It sounded awesome starting up and in low RPM’s and under load, like bogging it out. But actually getting on it sounded like really loud rice.
But with it all bolted together it sounds awesome, it is almost to quiet for me, I mean the intake is louder until I really get on it. But it sounds pretty good, you can still hear some resonance, even with a 4" body (2.25" in/out) 18" resonator. But thats just an NA 4-cly talking.
Overall I really like it a lot though, I will have to show you sometime.
Glad im happy it turned out in your favor!!! If you want it a lil louder, get a smaller Resonator! I bet when you @ WOT that that thing growls deeeep huh? hehehe…
Did you notice your top end pic up a lil bit?? Ur power is goin to be a “smoother” so you wont feel the “pull” as much but youll hit redline quicker
Yeah, lets just say, I have traction problems now Mashing the gas in a first gear roll at about 3 grand or so will spin them. Havnt had to much of a chance to see the gains because my motor mounts are going out, my drivers side one broke completly so I dont really want to launch to hard until I get those fixed.
It sounds a little rice when I rev it in the video, its not quite that bad in real life, but other than that it sounds pretty much like it does it real life. Also yes, my hood is popped, so just to get that out of the way before people ask whats wrong with my hood. O and my freind and I edited it on his Mac so sorry its in quicktime format, randomly found the song to, its by Radiohead, but it goes pretty good with it I think.

to me the “ricey” sound is whne you get a $30 muffler off ebay, and put it on you stock piping with and adapter. i dont know how to put it, yours sounds “mean”, not like a lawnmower.

and im talking about inside the car, outside its a little more defined, but its to be expected, youre right behind the car lol.
I am lookin at replacing the timing belt here in about 3 weeks, I am unsure of the miles it has on it, I think about 50,000 but I am unsure and I can see some wear starting on the outside of the teeth, so I am gonna replace it here soon, definatly before race season
Ha, dont know the style they are, but yeah they are American Racing, they were on the car when I bought it, I like them though, there a little heavy, looking into some buddy club p1’s now because they dont make good preformance/street tires in 14’s anymore.
Anyone else with the megan racing header notice that the downpipe gets bent really easily? Both my brother and I have it and both our downpipes are indented as hell. I don’t know how bad this is compared to other headers but hey, at least it’s not a hole, right?
