Hey guys! Everything is great! Finishing my degree here at CSUMB, focusing in GIS, then I’ll be moving back to Sacramento next year. I’d love to get another g2- but after my car accident last fall in the Accord,- I needed an auto with a more ‘upright’ seating position to help my left ankle heal. Plus it doubled as a moving truck! For now I’m rockin’ the 4Runner Limited. Gotta have my luxury :cloud9:

The meets these days are nowhere near what they used to be. The camaraderie and love we all had for each other is deteriorating quickly, and it is sad to watch. I would love to pick up another G2, but I am not so sure I would go to another meet, unless it was OG status.
Tina, sounds like all is well with you. Sorry to hear you got in an accident. I stayed out of everything that happened, and felt it was best. If we cross paths in the future I am sure we would be able to talk without to much discomfort. Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it, and reciprocate them.
mmmm… The last meet I went to was about a month ago if not a little more. The new ones are nice people but, Shall I say not as knowledgeable as we were. Camaraderie is there among themselves… The G2’s are not as nice as ours were. A DA/DB without real paint has become a regular. I won’t get another G2… It just won’t be the same… Alot of us have moved to other (better) cars and new groups.
Personally i’ve been really close knit with the norcal folks at xr-underground.com… I don’t have a X-Runner, My ex did which is how I got into it… Also the bimmer group is progressing.
Nahhh… Tooo many thefts, To much legal BS, FWD, No torque, No headroom, No rear leg room, honda scene turned gay and trendy… I loved my DB1 and only my DB1. Will not own another.
everyone has their own specific problems, areas, measures of security.
you, if you wanted to, could’ve had everything. full alarm, watch dog, security cameras, smog legal, carb’d, completely legit b18c5 swap, with all the legit bolt ons, fwd, no problem, suspension fixed to handle better than some rwd cars out there, headroom, you could’ve gotten a low seat bracket for an aftermarket seat, which would’ve given you 4+ inches of headroom
and i cant see how it turned gay, it turned more into clicks, crews, and groups. and those who werent part of the group, were turned away.

Here’s where it turned gay… JDP is the rota for body parts for the DA/DB, Nothing is cool unless it’s JDM, There are people out there that’ll jizz on anything that’s JDM, The cars became SO easily obtainable and cheap the only people who have a DA/DB now either had theirs for years or some 16-17 year old high schooler, All the gay trends make every other car specific group say “WTF?” (Painted engine bays a different color, carbon fiber everything, lowered a inch off the ground, crazy offset wheels that you’d expect on a drift car [Not on a FWD], intentional rusted hoods etc… The VW people are frowned on for a reason).
Nothing makes a car unique anymore since every rare part now has replica’s.
The BMW or X-Runner people amazingly do not care about JDM Or EURO… :read:

No, the lady in the middle of a narrow enough road lead to the accident. If she would of been about 2 feet more to her side of the road it wouldn’t of happened
In the same situation, The DB1 would be sitting in my garage wrecked and me or my passenger would probably be injured as the DB slides under the explorer.
Anyways!!! so yeah meets now a days are not what they used to be .things change times change.now a days I really am concerned with who I hang out with.some of the new guys that I have met seem nice but others are the ones we all try to stay clear from.I dunno maybe it’s just my age? I still have my da sits at home in the back of the garage. I still love the car and am always thinking of things to do but as always moey,time and life changes things. if we were to have a meet like we did back in '05 I would be up for it. even thogh many of the members might not have there car anymore it would be great to see everyone .good to see all the older members chiming in. my 2 cents.
