Still knockoff’s of what once was a rare part or the same thing but in carbon fiber.
The parts may be quality, But it’s kind of the point of you hunt down this ultra rare whatever it is… Let’s say door visors, then JDP comes out with copies. There goes the one thing that made your car unique and stand out…
How many cars out here look alike?.. You can’t make it unique anymore because there is copys of just about everything.

you can be unique by not giving a shit about anything other than what you want to do.
while all those trendy kids buy the next best overpriced trendy thing, you can be spending money on quality performance parts and not worrying about what other people think.
i would never spend money on something like door visors or coin trays or radios that dont work on our frequencies, especially if they came with some overinflated tax because they are somehow “more rare” than what originally came on my car on these shores.
the honda scene only got “gay” because it became mainstream. give it another few years and all the rice boy raped-out cars will have been demolished, the gems will shine that much brighter and the people that own them will be that much prouder because they stuck it out.
i understand moving on from something in life. i dont understand doing it because of what other people thought about it. if getting out of the honda thing was what you wanted to do then great. but if you did it because you felt like you needed to… im not a doctor but man thats unhealthy.
you say youre happy with your BMW and thats awesome, theyre great cars.
hopefully one day society wont be so fubared that people can have nice things and not be greeted with legal hassles, theft and all around bullshittery.

I didnt make this meet for whatever reason, but im still 'round. Id go to another if it was legit.
Steve! How you been man, still staying in Sac?
Hey guys! Everything is great! Finishing my degree here at CSUMB, focusing in GIS, then I’ll be moving back to Sacramento next year. I’d love to get another g2- but after my car accident last fall in the Accord,- I needed an auto with a more ‘upright’ seating position to help my left ankle heal. Plus it doubled as a moving truck! For now I’m rockin’ the 4Runner Limited. Gotta have my luxury :cloud9:
Gibbs! Hope all is well! You were always a dear and respected friend. Hope things between us haven’t gone too awry. :)
Wow, someone else that’s doing GIS I’m doing GIS at UCSB right now, can’t wait to finish so I can finish my DA.

I had more reasons to get out then to stay in, I hated the stereo type the car gave me from cops to people who don’t even matter… I got tired of understeer and wanted something RWD or AWD… My DB1 was beginning to act up, It always seemed to have a problem and the thing that finally did it for me was it not being able to pass smog.
Passing smog with a stock motor is the easiest thing to do though :giggle:
Not with my DB… It failed everything. It wasn’t the original motor from what I heard… From the first owner who used to drag race it. It’s been “rebuilt” 4 times. Smog shop suggested a new engine and then i realized it’s not to wise for me at this time to keep sinking more money into it on a swap then have to deal with legal issues.
I hear you, good it’s gone then.
…It went to a good friend of mine :squint:
if most of the OG’s come out, i’ll drive my DA up north for this too
Nice, and take some Socal OG’ers with you
as well.
im kinda new here but i would love to have a meet with everyone.
Alan- well I think the whole front lip and rear trunk spoiler thing is good. think about it ,no one really had anything decent looking in those areas for our cars.here’s a guy that thought of something nice to make for the cars that did not have that much support in the exterior area.even if you could find some of the original stuff most likely it’s really not in the greatest conditions.unlike dc,eg,ek,and s2ks, wich from what I see has a lot of support in that area. I mean the trunk lid spoiler for the 2 doors great idea.the visors are cool but not my thing. the lips I wish I had all of them. but that’s just me I like my car ,and I build it for me and no one else.my 2 cents
You’re listing one off parts… Their lips are modified OEM styles (Bigger with light changes), The trunk lip spoiler for the 2 door is an entirely new idea as it’s inspired by the 4 door version… I’m talking about CF visors, rear hatch visors (sorry Erwin) or the lip spoiler for the 4 door… And then have the audacity to down talk the OEM part (“Unlike the OEM made of a squishy rubber material where the paint cracks”) was what they said… Nice, although it’s now a solid piece it can only be double sided taped.
I like their lips and the idea of the 4 door spoiler style made for the 2 door. But everything doesn’t have to be exact replica’s or made of carbon fiber.
That’s what i’m getting at…

I thought I should chime in since this is about me.
I didn’t mean to down talk about the original 4 door trunk spoiler…more than a few DA owners mentioned to me the issues they were having with paint cracking and flaking off which is the only reason why I decided to make this in the first place. Another alternative and solution so that people don’t have to worry about paint cracking issues.
Also, majority of these products are ideas of this community. There’s one thing I’ve learned…that is listen to your customers and try to fulfill their needs.
Sorry to have upset you…
I’m same with you John. My whole intention was to help out the G2 community.
Nothing taken though Alan, good luck on your next car.
