I believe they’re the same except for the CDM carpet being cut for the manual belts by the middle of the car. I’m not 100% sure though.

I have used the same color Colin posted on two headliners and it works awesome. No zebra stripes like you mentioned. Was really surprised with the results. I guess I lucked out when I got the C pillars with my CDM manual belts, But then again I was there to tell the guy I wanted them. He only gave me the A B pillars at first.

Good to hear. I’ll have to give it a shot on mine.

Yeah the seller I bought mine from told me up front that they didn’t have the c pillars but those should be the easiest parts to convince someone from Canada to ship since they’re relatively small and light. I really did want a complete set but I’ve got some time to find them.

Yeah. The C pillars would be the easiest to ship. I was lucky enough to find a local guy on CL parting out a Canadian DA. He had no clue of the value of the belts. Got a great deal. Missed out yesterday on a BNIB hood bra for $15 off CL.

Yes, the paint goes on very even, no stripes. New rattle can paints are getting REALLY good IMO compared to how they used to be. Much easier to get an even finish.

As for the carpet, the only difference should be the holes for the belts. Both on the center tunnel as well as on the sides in the rocker panel area. On the US carpet there are big holes here for the lap belt spool/retractor but on the CDM cars there’s only a small bolt hole for the lower mount of the belt. I’ve been casually looking for a CDM carpet for years and have yet to find one. I’m sure if you looked hard enough or begged some Canucks you could get one over here though. My car is a beater so I don’t really care much anymore. Another option, if you’re willing to run aftermarket carpet is to buy an aftermarket one which comes molded but not pre-cut. Many of the aftermarket ones you need to cut yourself, and thus would allow you to trim where needed and not have the USDM holes.

Rollin, I’ve read the post, from page 1. Awesome job, bro. Even if I had a shop/garage, I wouldn’t have the fortitude to go where you’re going, with it. Will keep checking back, to see how it’s coming.

As for carpet, I have run a couple carpets from Auto Custom Carpet. They are very good quality. They are the only licensed manufacturer for GM restoration carpets. If I ever get to the point where I can really start putting money into “cleaning up” my Teg, I will be giving them a call.

Colin- the same seller (kittykat) I got my belts from has a CDM carpet for sale if you were interested in getting one. I am planning to get a brand new aftermarket one so I decided to pass but figured I’d let you know.

Royalsjunkie- Thanks! I really appreciate it! Glad to hear people are interested in what I’m doing!

I got my one pieces from Jose today! These things are so damn clean! I was rushing out the door so I didn’t get any pictures but I’ll get some soon.

Any idea what they’re asking for the carpet! 4 yrs ago I probably would have been more interested, but now I might be a year or two from removing the carpet altogether anyway, so…

I have no idea. I’ll ask though since I’m exchanging emails anyway.

lmk too.

Would you mind asking him about getting an additional passenger c pillar in black too? Don’t mean to tack on this already long list of questions to the guy but I gotta exhaust all my options.

As for the carpet, I bought brand new from Acura and didn’t even think about the hole size being different on the rocker side. Only that I would have to cut a small hole for the buckle side. Crap…

Did you need c pillars for a DA or the Db1? I don’t want to ask about the wrong ones.

That sucks about the carpet although seeing that its new and OEM I’m sure you’ll be able to sell it if it looks off with the manual belts.

Lol. Good call, I need the db1 c pillar and I don’t think I could get what I have in the carpet. I’ll see what it looks like first.

Ok, I’ll ask for you. Got a response about the carpet. She said $80 + shipping for those interested in that.

Worked on my seat rails a little today. I didn’t remember to take pictures of removing them but basically just unbolted them from the seats and evaluated what I was going to need to do. I had to start by drilling out the spot welds holding the upper tabs onto the seats. There are 2 pieces on each side, 4 per seat, so 8 total. Here’s a picture of the pieces removed from one seat.

Which leaves you with the tops of the rails looking like this…

The remaining material from the spot welds has to be ground down so the top is flat and smooth

Then I bolted them in place to take some measurements. From here I’ll be welding some pieces of metal onto them so I can bolt the seats to the rails. Currently don’t have my welder or the metal I’ll need so its going to be a while before I finish them but here’s where they’re at

And the pics of the one pieces I promised

Great stuff man.

The headlights look like they are indeed as clean as can be. And the seatrails look like they won’t pose a problem at all.

Yeah I just hope I can get a low enough seating position with the stock rails. They’ll be a little taller once I’ve added the necessary metal but hopefully not too much. I never asked but how were your recaros mounted? Were you using fixed position rails, aftermarkets with sliders, or did you fab something up too?

Fun fact, with the CDM carpet the aft inboard seat mount will be different than the one currently in the car. In the CDM cars that seat bracket is the same as the aft outboard mount. Source: I bought Weapon R seat brackets and thought they sent me the wrong ones due to the different aft mounts.

That’s definitely strange. I wonder why Honda would do that? Did you have to modify the rails or did they exchange them for you?

You did your rails the same way I did mine.
My recaros came with the EVO 2 sliders which are really tall but removing the “feet” from the DA rails made them sit pretty well.

Btw check out the new pics of the headlights on my thread I finished the damaged passenger light.
The lens is fully repaired and I fixed the hole in the bottom of the housing you sent me.
I should have pics of the finished fully cleaned up and sealed passenger light.

I can’t tell in your pics though, are your fog bulb guards (the metal square piece between the bulb and the lens) or whatever they are called removed?

Also I noticed in your wtb thread you are looking for a 98-01 brake booster. You can save yourself the trouble and just get a 92-93 ABS Integra master cylinder it will bolt right on any DA booster. The non-abs Integras have a 15/16" master and the ABS equipped models have a true 1" master. the only needed thing to install it in a non abs Teg is either an adapter fitting for the front line or cut the fitting off at the junk yard and re-flare bend your line with the new fitting.
