Looks AMAZING man! That car is gonna be all beast lol
[QUOTE=rollinmyda;2311499]So a bit of an update on my seat rails. The drivers side is not done but its tacked together and so I wanted to mock it up to make sure everything was going to work with the seat and car before spending more time on it. Seems like it’ll work great. Height, adjustability, and levelness are perfect. Time to finish them up!
looks good
EDIT: After a second look at the photos i now see what you did. lol
I like the way you did your mounts way better than how I did mine haha.
Jelly. Nice work man! What’d you end up doing about your welding machine situation?
Thanks man!

Yeah, I’ll post better pictures of the brackets once they’re completely finished. This was just after tacking them up. I just wanted to make sure everything fit/functioned correctly before moving forward.
Thanks! It actually came out exactly like I wanted. They sit perfectly flat and slide the exact amount I was hoping in either direction. Unless I shrink drastically or hit an adult growth spurt they should work perfectly for me.
Well it turns out my gas regulator was the cause of my shitty welds. I mean after the wire feed and voltage cutting out were addressed something else just had to fail right? So I ordered a new regulator which should be here soon. I tacked it up using flux core which I despise. It’s just so messy it makes for a lot more work. I won’t be doing any more welding until it shows up.
Thanks guys!
Nice work sir!
Thanks!
nice work on the seat rails. very nice seats too.

Haha, that sucks man. So many moving parts, shit sucks. That’s why I can always rely on my trusty TIG machine, just expense ass circuit boards to go bad (which I had to get replaced already, LOL. Good thing I got a Miller. Warranty FTW!!) Flux core is soo messy, it’s irritating, lol. Well, I hope that shiney new regulator will do ya some good! Keep it up!
Thank you!
Yeah, now that my welder is working correctly its actually a pleasure to use it instead of being completely frustrating. I’m finishing up my rails tonight and then my attention and time can switch back to the bay! Finally!

We’ll be waiting for the picture.
Ok guys, got some stuff to update. Got some parts/tools in, and made a little progress on my seat rails and engine bay.
New OEM parts.
-Rear wheel bearings and hubs
-Front hubs
-outer tie rods
-front lower shock bushings
Also got the beginning of my brake line supplies in. I ended up selling the brake tuck kit and I’ll be making all the lines myself. I went with copper/nickel line after reading a lot of good things about it. That tool is my ridgid 37* flaring tool.
And finally after over a month of being missing with no tracking info showing up, my nrg qr/hub/lock arrived.
So I welded up my seat rails but I really didn’t like that you could see the welds holding my brackets to the original sliders so I welded some pieces onto the sides at an angle to cover them up and make them look cleaner.
They bay is hard to give an update on, I’ll be spending a lot of time on this without having much to show for it but I’ll leave you guys with a pic of how it sits at the moment.
Looks good Mike keep it up I am right there with you just got mine back an time to put it together
Thanks man! Sounds like you need to dust off your build thread and start updating it!
Yea don’t really have any pics tho but ill take them as I put it together
Any progress is notable progress man! Great to see this coming along.
Props on the seat brackets! I will definitely keep these last couple pages in memory for when I have to tackle this myself.
Motivational!!
nice progress!
Yeah, make sure to take lots of pictures! How long before its up and running?

Thanks man, yeah when the time comes feel free to shoot me an email about it too. I’d be more than happy to give measurements or more pics of the way I did it.
Thanks! Slowly but surely.
I like how you made the cover on the seat brackets. Really nice touch
Thanks Jose! I was really unhappy with the fact that the sides were exposed. I think it looked tacky but now it came out looking a lot cleaner. Almost finished with them.
