thanks dude, yO Da sHizNaT lol

not to jack your thread… but relating to the subject… anyone know exactly how loud the RSR GTII is?? i mean… no resonators… and straight through… anyone wanna fill me in?

I have owned & installed both of the exhausts within the last 8 months.

Greddy SP2:
Fitment was ok, I did not like how far the tip stuck out. I originally picked the Greddy becuase it was full stainless. For sound, don’t let them lie to you… the exhaust is loud. Too loud for me atleast. below is a pic of the Greddy.

RS-R ex-mag:
Fitment 10 out of 10, sound 10 out of 10. Great exhaust for the money. No complaints so far & I have had installed for about 3 months.

I hope this helps.

the above pic… I had to cut the adapter in 1/2 to bring the tip back to that point.

I hear it’s pretty fucking loud… but in a high performance tone kind of way… not like a droney ractive system.

Could you do a greddy header…RS*R exmag combo on a 91 tegg?

I’ve got the RS-R, it is louder than stock. Similar tone, just a bit deeper. At 100KPH- 120KPH it is much louder in the car(relative to stock). Above 120KPH it gets quieter, similar to stock.

I really wanted the dual tip of the stock look, offered by Brullen and others I believe, but nothing easy to get. That is the only thing I don’t like, is the big tip, since our bumpers are cut for a dual (or oval I guess) tip. It would look fine if our bumpers were round around the exhaust.

I don’t worry about the rust since I don’t drive it in the winter.
Since I have a 92-93, I had to use the adapter. It would have been nice if they tell you which way to orientate it.

RS-R exhaust good.
RS-R down springs bad.(too soft)

What do you mean by the adapter? & having to cut it?

Also, thanks for the advice … ive a greddy header & so wanted to go Greddy all the way, but I may just have to go with RSR Exmag. One last thing, do you have on the stock cat or do you have a high flow cat, and whether you do or not ,what’s the sound like for what you have setupwise and would the cat affect the Overall sound emmited by the RSR Exmag exhaust.

Yeah good question…and do you know what size the high flow cat has to be with that greddy header and rs*r exmag setup…the inlet/outlet sizes im talkin about…its either 2.5 or 2.25 right? I heard that CarSound high flow cats are pretty nice.

FYI I have stock header and cat. Matching up the original corroded cat flange to the RS-R was a little tricky. I feel the overall sound might be better with high flow cat and new header, but I can’t say for sure

Do you kno what size it is tho for the high flow cat? Cuz i know there is a 2.5 inch inlet outlet and a 2.25 one.

the 92-93 models require the extension for the exhaust to fit.

RSR exmag hands down. If someone can tell me how to post up some video clips I have a couple really good clips of an exmag on a G2.

i have the greddy sp and i love it… i shoot lil blue flames…sweet

yea, I dont know how the SP2 got a rap for being a quiet exhaust but to me its loud as hell!! But I still love it. Its has a nice deep, smooth tone.

how big are the clips? if you can email them to me i can host them.

I would like to see the clips as well, Thanks

well i like rsr’s but i dont like how they are put together with the spring locks.

the greddy was my choice for years of experiance with the products. i have a b20 with stock cat and manifold …let me tell you that at low RPM its grunty…but high end it quiets a little but still pretty loud. Im in a cop infested area too and cops dont hassle me for having this exhaust. or i havent atleast anyway since i had purchased it. I had a thermal before and that was LOUD!!!

…but it made the car have some ballz… =]

the “spring locks” are meant to save some weight. and i believe the gtII is the best exhaust for a DA. kinda loud with the silencer out but not ricey
