RS*R Ex Mag vs. Greddy SP2

please do show a pic of the tanabe hyper on your car.
there seems to be a lack of details/pics regarding this exhaust even though the tone and design is very similar to the other 2 mentioned.
there has only been 1 actual pic of this exhaust on a G2 (rate your exhaust thread) and it shows the tip sticking out quite far and the canister sitting pretty low to the ground.

Will do. My brother has the same exhaust, and yes the tip does sit somewhat far out. But he likes it that way, the guys at world one said they could make it sit further back. He has a 91 and I have a 92 so mine should sit further back also. We will see.

Here is my brothers:

For sound clips of the GT2 go to vividracing.com Services then technical and sound cips.

I Honestly wan’t to know what you guys think of the rsr gt2. I know how it sounds. I know the reputation RS*R has for building quality exhaust. I don’t
think it’s ricey and the sound is not raspy or the fart can/bumble bee sound, but if you past someone on the street with this exhaust NOT revving up the engine or acting like there car was the shit what would you say.

http://store.yahoo.com/hopup1/caunhicaco.html would this fit with the 2.25 inch inlet and outlet coming from a stock header/downpipe and going out to a rsr exmag exhaust? i’m pretty sure rsr exmags are 2.25 inch piping.http://www.optionimports.com/12-h010.html that place has it for $472 with free shipping so i think thats the best deal. Also, the other place has the carsound cat for 75 which was 25 bucks less than inline four.
So basically would that setup fit correctly. Ok thanks.

Does anyone else wonder why the Greddy Sp2’s Tip sticks so far out? I’m sure there’s a good reason…maybe they wanted it to be flashy and noticable, or maybe they did it to ensure that the bumper doesn’t melt. I’ve seen pics of with the Greddy Sp2 on G2’s and was wondering if the tip of it sticks out for all G2’s for those of you who own the Sp2 or have seen it and if there’s any additional fitment pieces like for the RS*R Exmag for G2 DA applications. Want to get Sp2, but tip just sticks way too far out for me. If anyone could post pics of the Greddy Sp2 on a DA with a wider angle or two. I know, do a search… I’ve seen the pics of the Sp2 in the forums here and they are helpful, just would like some wider angles for better overall appearance of it is all. Any thing will be helpful…thanks.

for the extension piece for 92-93’s, should the numbers that are stamped be on the top? like the numbers would be towards the car and the opposite end would be facing towards the ground, correct?

Does anyone know if the greddy sp is just as loud as the greddy sp2?

have a SP2 on my 92, it came with the car, but had a coffee can size tip so i cut it off and put a rolled tip with a glass pack, it mellowd the sound … love thw waty it sounds and its a lot better that the stock one…

I had my numbers on the extension facing the bottom of the car. The numbers were facing (top of the letters towards the front of the car and bottom of the numbers facing towards the back of the car).

If someone knows the exact way that these should be facing please post some pics.

I will post up a pic soon of how I have it. This is after I took the stock and compared them side by side.

That would be awsome!

Here’s a low quality pic of how I have it, also croped. If anyone wants the high quality one I can email it.

is that the same as the cat on both sides??? if so can u get the part number on it?

I don’t understand the question, but I forgot to mention that it is taken from the drivers side. I was barely able to make it attach to my rusted out flange on the stock cat. Also what I’ve noticed is I guess the plates that are welded on are not stainless!

There is only one adapter, it goes between the cat and RS-R. Best way to mount it is lay them side by side to be absolutely sure.

thanks for posting up the pics

Anyone have an RSR exmag with a test pipe or high flow cat? Do you find it quiet? I have CAI/TB/IM/Header/High Flow Cat/RSR Exmag and it’s quite loud between 2,000 - 3,500 RPMs (1st-3rd gear).

WarAmp, the vid you posted of the red integra with blacked out JDM 1pcs was nice. is that your car? what kind of intake is that because that thing is LOUD. the exhaust does have a nice DEEP sound to it. i didn’t hear anything in that vid that sounded like a 350Z or G35. sounded like a nicely modded DOHC honda

even if like you said that it was pretty much stock except for the intake and exhaust, it sounds SWEET.

also, slightly off topic, but. i know that when you do cam upgrades on, say, a camaro or mustang (whatever domestic car you want really) it makes the idle a little rougher etc (it comes with the territory, i know) but when you hammer it, the engine sounds noticeably deeper and louder. is there a similar effect on honda’s, or does it have a different noise effect (as in, make it sound more ricey) just answer that question and i’ll be happy to leave this topic alone lol.

Right now on my red integra i have a Stainless 421, testpipe, and the exmag and the testpipe made it a bit raspy for my taste but it isnt real loud. I had one of those cheesy “ebay highflow cat’s” becuase it came with the header and it didnt sound to bad with it at first but after a couple weeks it started to have a rattle in it. then it broke and i fabbed up the testpipe.

depends on the lift of the cams on how easy the idle is
