Which one is the better buy?
RsR has the better rep but kinda harder to find and a bit more expensive. Ive got a Thermal Catback with a resonator and im very satisfied with it. Performance id say about the same not much of a difference , if its sound you want the RsR is a little bit more quiet.
i love my rsr and wouldn’t have it any other way

Never had the RSR, but I have had (and loved) my Thermal for more than 6 years.
Forget the thermal, get a tanabe hyper. Very comparable to the thermal but anyone who has owned both will tell you the thermal hangs lower than the tanabe and if ur lowered or plan to…I’m tellin you, once you bottom out and bang/scratch up that nice stainless finish…u’ll be mad to say the least.

hows it sound compaired to stock(1-10scale)? i’d paint mine black for a more stock look though.
No way i wouldn’t paint it black! The tip isn’t even that noticable when lookin at the complete car…or maybe i’m used to it…but the tip only sticks out enough that its a little bit less than a straight line vertcally with the bumper. As compared to stock its quiet at idle but I definately noticed a deeper tone. This thing is deep at higher rpms, and VERY deep once you finish modding the whole induction-exhaust system ( I have a friend who has it all done). On mine i only have a CAI to complement the system so far, the sweet spot i have for right now is between 2-4,000, especially when i let off the gas.
What are you talking about? The thermal is not low at all. And also you get what you pay for.
I like the thermal tip too.
ahem…the thermal hangs lower THAN the tanabe.
…and tanabe cat-backs aren’t cheap either.

The thermal does not hang low at all. You probably have worn out muffler hangers.
Looks like most large exhaust tips, but I do like the RSR tip the best.
I was going to get a Thermal, but decided to go with the Tanabe hyper because I liked the look of rear section better. They both sound good but the thermal has a smaller muffler that I didn’t like as much.
