I’m looking for the Rubber wiper delete plug, Previously I purchased a few of these off a member on G2IC ( 2 years ago ) and unfortunately that user’s email is no longer in service.
I’ve read different methods and seen different methods but the way I did it before was the same rubber plug used on the team-integra write up. The user posted the honda part number but I don’t want to use the " WIPER MOTOR PIVOT " as this method it sticks out a quarter inch or so by leaving in the wipers rubber gromet.
Does anyone know the part number or where I can get this rubber plug ?
I can’t seem to find any further info on the plug it looks like a simple firewall plug, the members e-mail was bcbinc13@yahoo.com which is no longer active
I remember he had a forsale thread I believe he was located in CA, was selling the plugs for $6 shipped.
The plug im looking for is hte one that fits right into the glass
It is a firewall plug. Located under the brake booster. (Down, & to the your left.) That’s the one I used. Its Conrad’s version. As far as I know, it doesn’t have a purpose on the firewall. Maybe in Japan it’s used for something. Either way, free plug!
Hit the junkyard or go to Lowes, Home Depot, or Ace Hardware. It’s just a rubber plug. Hell, you may find something @ a hobby shop; like a beaker stopper plug. Just use your imagination.
The plug I used is off the hatch glass for the 1992-1995 civic Hatch (EG). The CX (and possibly DX) models came with the plug as they had no rear wiper, the SI versions had the wiper.
Mine looks exactly like Conrad’s version below I cut a thin slice off the stock rubber plug asnd used it as a grommet to seal it.
Of course there’s an entry fee. But $2.00 isn’t shit, (local yards) & I always find other things I want so I could care less about the nominal entry fee.
i also used the one from the eg firewall, i used some rubber to glass epoxy and it hasnt leaked or anything. its been holding up really good. i have had it for longer then 2 years.
