running turbo on jdm gsr, how much will .043" cometic gasket lower my compression????

hey, i have a turbo that im putting on my jdm gsr motor in my teg. i know the compression ratio is a little high, its 10.6:1 i ordered a cometic head gasket with the .043" thickness. i was wonderin how much this should lower my compression by, i just wanna get down below 10.4 somewhere, 10.2 would be good. thanks. im only gonna run 6-8 lb.s im gonna change it up every once in a while and im gonna run 5 at the beginning to make sure eveyrthing good. ive been told the highest i wanna go is 8 with my motor with the high compression so how much u guys think i might be able to go with the new compression ratio whatever it may be with the new thicker head gasket. thanks

dude, everyone including me thinks those gaskets suck and they always go out, i am telling u, go oem with studs…

you can try this http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/compcalc/compcalc.php i put in the stuff for the jdm gsr with the different head gasket and it came up with 10.24 as upposed to your stock jdm compression of 10.6, i dont know much about that gasket but i do know that it will bring you down to the 10.2 you want it seems

I’d go with a thicker headgasket than .043 on a JDM gsr. a ~.060 will drop your comp. 1 point.
