s-afc guys...i need some help....

ok, anyways, i got my 450s install and hooked up the s-afc. 90 integra ls t3 with walbro pump and s-afc and 450cc for fuel management. the setings were…

1-2k 50%
2-4k 40%
4.5k 38%
5.5 36%
6-7k 35%

first my car idles fine, after driving it a couple of times, my air fuel gauge reads stoich. then on the highway when aproaching 80pmh, check engine light comes on while reading extremely rich. damn these obd-0 is confusing to read the codes so i couldnt tell what code it threw.

now the car wont idle perfect and when you give it gas, it hesitates and dies. its not able to run anymore or idle like before, it starts but sems like its drowning in fuel, but at the same time, it seems like its not enough fuel but the air fuel gauge reads stoich. im just confuse? check light pops up as soon as it bogs and starts.

if anyone knows what im talking about, or knows maybe whats wrong, help me out. also, what do you guys set yor throttle setting to like hi throttle and low throttle? the s-afc only goes up to 50% on low throttle. prety much let me know how your guys set your safcs setting on your tegs to run the 450 injectors.

anybody???i know someone uses this in ther obd-0 teg…at least show me where you guys set your hi and low throttle points too. and your ne.1 and ne.2 %

hi and lo-leave them at stock settings
ne1 and ne 2 points leave alone

do a search on hondatech on safc

Your IDLE setting is cutting out a lot of FUEL. Although every car is different, I had mine at like 33-36 percent, to keep idle. At IDLE my car stays steady RICH green and only goes STOICH at freeway cruising. How’s your timing? How much boost are you running when you get the CEL, is it going immediately to LIMP mode?

Also, HI/LO throttle settings should be 98/99 percent, respectively. ALthough it doesn’t matter according to the DropShop.

do you have the vafc, because the safc i have, the highest the low throttle settings goes only up to 50% and the hi throttle setting goes up to 99% so thers no way i can set it to 98%low throttle and 99%high throttle.

someone retype me the stock ne1 and ne2 settings and the hi low throttle settings. mines is probably a little bit off since im not sure what the original setting was.

i set my low and hi fuel % to

1-2k 45%
3-4k 40%
5-7k 35%

it idles at stoich perfectly and test and tuned it on the highway with no check engine light, but throttle setting im affraid it is still off. my old settings, when fuel curve move in, you can feel the % as it pulls little by little everytime it hits the rpm i have it set to, from 35% from 4k on to redline, it just pulls straight forward. feels good. only 6.5-7psi for now, planning to try 9psi. thanx for the help guys…

Yeah, I have or had the VAFC, try 50/low and 51/high. Since all your high/low fuel points are the same anyways, it doesn’t matter. What CEL code are you throwing? Do you know what your Fuel pressure is at the RAIL?

lo-20%
hi-50%
ne1 ne2 throttle pts- 11-12 ish
1-4k= -40%
5k-8k= -35%
idles great with 450 cc and works great to me

safc not vafc-
vafc will differ because of crossover pts-lo settings will not go over 50%

what settings do you have for type of sensor??

actually, im not throwing a code no more, i rechecked the safc and setting for low throttle actually goes up to 59% so now my hi/low throttle settings are 59%low and 60%hi throttle. im getting to understand this safc and settings are totally different now, in order for it to read rich or stoich under 6psi of boost, i have everything from 2k up on high throttle set to -30% and in low throttle, set normal 44% and lower % as rpm climbs. idles at stoich and rich under boost, low and hi throttle % in fuel delivery are set different from each other. heres what im talking about…

low throttle settings…
1-3k 45%
4k 40%
5-6k 35%
7k 20%

hi throttle settings
1-2k 35%
3-7k 30%

hi throttle setting comes in during 60% throttle and everything else runs under 59% throttle. just finally got familiar with this. runs stronger and better everytime i tune it and understand the safc settings…

I know it might be stupid and I dont have an afc but exactly hoew do you read it??? have a buddy with one and he had a shop tune it and since he got a smaller turbo it will need a retune. Throw me some pointers so I can help him.

thanx

are you fucking serious? you see all that every other poster is “inactive” right? that means that they’re gone, they no longer post here. In this case you should make a new thread with your issue.
