saturated car wired for p/h injectors?! (long)

hey guys this is my first post here. i didnt have anything useful to contribute so ive been lurking

ok this is kinda confusing so hang with me

backround:
I bought a 93 rs shell that was formerly a turbo car (subframe notched, walbro pump,“modifed ecu”…unknown ,harness, no interior).I put a odb-0 motor in(reason i didnt notice problem) and pieced together a nice little n/a set up and the car ran great. Finally, i decided to go turbo. Im running a missing link and 12/1 fmu for engine managment for now w/no CEL.

HERES THE PROBLEM:
Im leaning out to the detonation at 5psi exactly.

Ive tried 3 fmu’s and i took out the mystery ecu and replaced it w/a stock. I have EXCELLENT FP and i was at the end of my ropes. I decided to swap injectors for some known-good obd-1 injectors, but they wouldnt plug in. Then i realized, my car had freaking p/h injectors on a saturated car?! The injector plugs have been swapped for 0bd-0 ones! Their is no resistor box or any other “mods” to the harness

My car was running perfect on these injectors the whole time it was n/a, but now that im asking for more f/p it cant handle it.

how did it run like this?
could this be my problem?

thanks for the replies.

I swapped the p/h injectors back for the proper saturated ones. It didnt help it a bit, but its one less thing to check.

what else could it be ?

ecu- checked
injectors-checked
fmu- 3x checked
fuel filter- replaced

i guess next thing is to check the pump AGAIN! sigh
