That sucks. Sounds you got fucked because the guy you bought it from more so than the cops. So why did they only let you take those parts off the car and not anything else?

That sucks man, i’m sorry to hear and see this. Your car was super clean, and it sucks that it was because of the previous owner that you got screwed.
they only let me keep those because basically thats all they would give their mechanic “time” to do so. I even offered to go take stuff off myself but they wouldnt let me near the car.

and yea it was rough losing her like that, but figured id share the story so you guys know to jus do your homework and know the laws in your area. itl pay off in the end. I thought i had all my bases covered but goes to show what CA will do to get cars like mine off the street.
I can understand making a car a parts only car by title. But not smashing it. Theres so much money and rare valuables put into some of our cars.
