OT: Aerohit, do you still have those fat fives you advertized over in For Sale?

i just now seafoamed my car
alittle more than 1/3 in brake booster…less than 1/3 in gas
and rest in crankcase…

waiting 1 hour to go for a spritated run:)

I did mine a while back. I wish I would have checked how clean my oil was before and after I changed my oil. Cause when I changed it like 4 days later (only put 1/4 can into crank case), the oil was BLACK.

anyoneelse?

I picked up 2 cans from NAPA a few days ago.
I’ve been trying to do it, but the weather has been pretty crappy.
Plus, I gotta wait till the night, since I don’t want my nosy ass neighbors calling cops or anything…
Will update you guys once I do it.

You can see my experience in the good Seafoam thread … The motor’s been running better than ever lately …

I finally got off my lazy ass and did it. Boy, it smoked like hell.
I poured (very slowly) about 1/3 can into the brake booster vacuume line.
Smoked for about 5 min. cleared up, drove it around, and didn’t notice a huge difference. I did, however, feel that the engine seemed to be a little smoother. My thoughts? Well, for $5.00, I don’t really care as long as it doesn’t damage my car. But I think it’s more beneficial than harmful.
So, go ahead and try it.

hey guys umm does anyone know where i can buy this stuff in ontario, Canada

can someone show me a pic of where u enter it, where is the brake booster line?

There’s a line coming from the intake manifold to the brake booster (the big, flat cylinder thingy that’s connected to the master cylinder. it’s on the driver side firewall). you can’t miss it. the line comes out of the intake manifold to the booster, and it’s gonna go through a little plastic valve thingy. just pull it out of there. You can tell if you have the right line by the rpm. if you pull it out, the rpm will rise (to 2.5~3k rpm) and will drop it back off if you block the line with your finger… Put a little funnel in there, and pour the seafoam slowly.
Just be ready. it’s gonna smoke like you’ve never seen before.

hey, i work at NAPA, ill see if maybe i could do a group buy or something.

thanxs man can you see if you can ship stuff from your napa to napa in ontario canada??

same here im in winnipeg

just do this… go to your local NAPA, and if they dont have it, ask to see if u can have it sent to your local store. Ordering things shouldnt cost anything extra (although i dont know about that for Canada). Tell them how many u want, and u can either pay up front or when it gets there. We have it at most of our US stores i believe, so it shouldnt be hard to get.

well called napa in Ontario, Canada and Car quest they both never heard of it. I just e-mailed sea foam to see if they have a retailer in Ontario, Canada just waitin for a reply now

i just filled a little cup with water and dipped one of the little vacuum hoses in it little by little. i peeked inside through the throttlebody and noticed the top of the runners were clean.

it looks like sea foam right now is only available in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. The name of the distributor is Piston Ring Service. Their address is 600 Wall Street, Winnipeg, MB, Canada R3C 2P7. Piston Ring Service’s phone number is (204)786-8901. Well it looks like i’m not gonna be able to get this product unless i pay a arm and a leg for it :bored:
