Seatbelts lifetime warranty! (choking stuck seatbelt buckle death SAFETY RECALL)

Just unplug the fuse instead.

You guys ever think it’s just your car getting you back for all the times you beat the crap out of it? That’s my theory, cause seriuously, my DA has feelings too.

does acura’s lifetime coverage of the seatbelts include those of us who bought it 2nd hand?

Yes, it should. The warranty is a transferable one that goes with the car, not the owner.

first time looking at this post… now u guys have word from another person down here what i gotta deal with when it comes to my shitty local dealer… when is honda gonna shut them down?

File a complaint with
American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
Acura Client Services Department

You can also do it on line.

new seat belts r the way to go

just saw this thread and i was wondering what if you only have a honda dealership. can you get your seatbelts fixed by them or does it have to be a acura dealership that has to fix it?

sorry if this was covered but, do we have to file a complaint to them? Cant we just go in the dealer and say theres a problem with my selt belt? Cause i was choking to death (a couple of times) when i was in my car. Luckly i got out -_-.

seat belt killing

Ok, incase you misted it and still want to kill your belt…Happpppie to find the recall, living with a dead belt for a year and a half got my teg on 4-20 05, anyway it let me go but wouldnt return me to its loving embrace again…looking forward to many death grips in the near future…there is a fuse under the hood, I beleve on the passinger side next to the shock strut tower…on it actually, open up the little black box and there are 2 15amp or 20amp fuses, look at the diagram in the lid, pull the fuses and vawala, no more loving embrace of death…and the belt stays.

What are the stipulations on replacing the seat belts? What if they make a weird hissing/howling noise when going to the position [i guess up, when the door closes]???

is this real or just some second hand stuff cuz my seatbelt dont work at all… so weekend when i take it out i got to pull it back and when i turn off the car it pulls back foward lol… man im taken that shit to acura tomorrow then

so acura will replace this no matter if your the sixth owner or your car has a million miles on it or anything, no questions?

Some people have said that their acura dealers were being dicks and wouldn’t replace the seatbelt but others said there dealer was nice and helpful. Has anyone here messed with the Acura dealer in Indianapolis because my seatbelts work whenever the hell they feel like it and I live an hour from indy.

yes this is absolutly real, but unforunatly some of the dealers are being pains about it.

In the Owners Manual is the Warrenty info regarding this. most Car Manufacturers nowadays have to warrenty anything that is safety related so they can save thier own asses when something does happen and someone tries to sue them.

But they will not replace everything they will replace whatever needs fixed, unless your belts are tatered adn torn they arent going to replace those.

these freakin seatbelt’s almost choked my g/f and me.

My driver side belt is messed up. It works when it wants to. sometimes it will work for a day and not work again for months. If I pull it back so it’s around me it will come back when I open the door but then it dont want to work again. since it goes one way but not the other would it be the motor. or am I too confusing?
