So i want my car to be a sleeper, no louder of a BOV than a stock volvo turbo. Those have BOVs right? Because if they do those things are silent. Does anyone know of any quiet BOVs, or any setups that can make a silent release of the pressure?
I think a tube will make it quiet, but I was considering the same thing.
DSM and route the outlet back to the intake for your turbo to quiet it down.
xenocron, so what your saying is make a bypass out of my bov right? well question i have about that is, doesn’t that defeat the purpose? I mean im taking air from the intake tube so it doesn’t get stopped and push back against the turbo, and then put it back in? How does this not hurt anything?
You’re putting it back into the intake side, which then sucks the air back in.
The BOV stops the air from flowing back to the side that pushes the air out.

you can even get a greddy type s to be pretty quiet venting to atmosphere if you play with the allen screw enough.
I have a DSM BOV, I pointed the outlet down into the engine bay and its very quiet. You can hear it kind of sigh when it blows off but to most peeps its completly unnoticable. Recirculating to the intake will be even more quiet but I’d try it out first before I bothered to recirc.
We manufacture the exact blow off valves that your describing but I could never sell a single one because no one wanted to give it a chance. I run one on my teg and it works great. We use two of them on our twin turbo Corvette systems and people are making upwards of 800+rwhp
It uses the same mounting flange as an HKS SSQV as well.
