skunk2 ajustable camber upper control arms intresting

get the revo’s

can you guys take pics of the UCA bushings? installed on the car…

i’m having a problem with poly and oem rubber bushings in these things. well, first of all, the anchors/metal bracket are bent the wrong way for the bushings to sit straight in the open end of the UCA. and as you start to tighten the anchor bolts up into the strut tower, they get tweaked even more sideways.

i’ll take pics tonight, but the oe rubber was cockeyed so i replaced them with poly, and WOW it’s even worse. i even took the metal bracket off that holds them together and they still sit all fucked up.

so the open end of the arms are straight like this l l l l

and the bushings are in them like this / / \ \

I bought Skunk 2s… tryed to put them on… they dont work they bottom out;.

i got g3 skunk 2’s on my car, the first day i installed em, they bottomed out a few times. Prolly just bent the shock tower up or sumtin. but i got K-Sport coilovers shortly after and they’ve never hit, been like a good year now. Alignment is perfect, well within factory specs(even the caster). Im running 98 ITR Knuckles/Spindles up front too. Car is lowered at least 3" as well.

I have the Skunk2 and I need to know how you pried them apart to fit. Please take a pic if you can with the pry bar at the angle you did this. I don’t want to scrape the crap out of my car, or my new stuff. ANYBODY THAT HAS DONE THIS LET ME KNOW HOW.

How did you bend them? I was thinking of using a vise in reverse. Dunno, havn’t tried…yet. still waiting for reply

koolkid420, you don’t have to bend them to make them fit…
You just have to get the get the bolt through the hole and use nut on the topside to pull the bolt up through the hole.
I personally have these installed on my Integra and they work just fine and helped so much with correcting my camber.
-lowered 4 inches.

so what your sayin is, attach the anchor bolts to the arms the work it in by tightening them? thanx …do the anchor bolts sit straight? The skunk2 look strong, I even tried to flex them by muscle. Must be a very tight fit. Have you had any probs with the anchor bushing warping and tearing from stress? got any recent pics of your ride/setup/a-arms?

you do have to bend the anchor that holds the bushings together though. just to make them fit in the arm. then you can put the bolts up in the hole and snug them up.

can you show me? sounds good, just need a visual of the final product

yes and yes. i can post them later tonight at home. i’m buying the revo arms asap. i know a few people have had problems with them and others are fine. as soon as i installed them i had problems, my steering is all weird.

did you get it aligned…kind of dumb question.

yea i got it aligned. read my post up top, number 124 i think.

I see now …what about using a vise in reverse to safely bend the to width

I have the revo arms, and the ball joint went to shit after 4 months. I only travel paved roads.

i wonder if the skunk2 ball joints would fit the revo arms…

Just a thought, but you might be able to use your scissor jack and some blocks to “spread” them apart. [Insert Peter Griffin laugh here]

well that’s not very comforting.

glad i haven’t ordered them yet…might go SPC balljoints in OEM arms after all.

I’m in the works right now prying them apart with my scissor jack. so far about 1/8th farther apart…still workin it in slowly, as to not warp the arms totally out of wack.

check it out fellas…this is the best i wanted to do with out warping it. pretty fuckin close.scissor jack(Wraith), some rags wrapped around where I was prying, and a little muscle.
was…

is now…
