I am going to build the B16 for turbo, but im affraid of the cylinder walls cracking. I am going to be boosting high and the hp goal is to be getting 350-400 whp. I allready have plans on getting je forged pistons whith a 9:1 cr, and eagle rods. I am really interested in Golden Eagle Manufacturing. I want to put the iron sleeves in but dont know of any shops in New York that does this. Has anyone else sleeved their engine in the NY area? My car will be daily driven so I need it to be reliable. Any info would be appreciated.
ha… wow, small world i just ordered my eagle rods and JE race piston (9:1 compression) and just sent out my B17 block to have it sleeved by golden eagle
$750 for the basic service…then tax is $829… then shipping which is another $40, but you get sleeving, decking, and o-ringing…so its not too bad, considering the block will handel all the boost you can put to it (with proper tuning and fuel) so best of luck

Do they cause extra to bore the cylinder out to 84 mm?
This what Vince emailed me back. "To get your block sleeved will be $750.00 . That includes us sleeving your block ( same price from 81 - 85 mm ), decking ( two options - step-deck or O-ring ) and cleaning. Our turn around is about 7 - 9 working days. Bore and hone adds about 5 days to the turn around time and is an additional $125.00 and we need the pistons to do this. Shipping will usually run about $60 - $70 one way, maybe less.

Thanks for your interest and hope to hear from you soon.
