I have 9mm ractive and I love them, they fit perfectly and no problems at all
I’ve got some NGK blue wires and I noticed some better performance after I put them on. They replaced my 13 year old stock ones.
I would have went with stock again, but they didn’t go well with my blue themed engine bay. The red wires clashed with my blue AEM CAI.
dont remember when but i read an article a while back i’m sure u can find it if u do a search. that said stock wires are best for honda’s, ngk’s actually misfire and so do the rest of all wires, but some brands were good if u had and upgraded ignition system. hth.
What is the diameter of the stock wires?
not sure but i think 7 or 8mm
I had accel a long time ago and after a while they boot ont he end of the spark that goes to the spark plugs started to melt and it got melted on to the plugs and caused misfires. no good.
I then went and got a set of magnecore which i have been using over a year with my MSD SCI system and they have worked great so far… althought the number 3 wire dont’ like to stay on the distributor too well… a lil problem witht he length of wire i beleive.
i saw some guy say the ractive makes the best wires so i went ahead and looked around. found a set at a very good price. when i got them they look really good all the metal prone piece that connectes to the distributor looks a lot better than the standard plus and the boots looks very very nice. in the end there is even a lil suction cup kind of thing to keep all of the spark in the boot. i hav’ent gotten to use them yet but look wise… it def beats the magnecore… and unlike the magnecores the letters on it dont… come off hehe… but performance wise… i’ll let you guys know when i get m y car back. at most it’ll just make my car idle smoother… a lil smoothe rev and better fuel economy.
anyone use those spoon wires with the individual gounds on them?

:werd: I like the NGKs too. They fit well, although performance wise I know they smoothed out some stuff but its not like there’s a “boost” or anything. my .02
I tried to read the post about the NGK vs. OEM vs. Aftermarket…
I was unable to read it…wrong addy or something.
I currewntly have Morroso on the teg…I am about to go with either ractive…or NGK…I had NGK originaly before the Morroso…the Morosso were great wires…really were…But the fit ment was an issue for me. I think they may have sent me Vtec wires?

what about nology wires?? are they any good?
can someone post the reviews in the forum and not the link? I get an error when i try to view it. This all sounds interesting because im looking to replace my very old old ngk wires. Are stock really that good compared to ngk? Just curious.

I just picked up the NGK plugs and wires. Will I notice any gain in gas mileage or peformance?
welcome back from the dead 3 year old thread. OEM wires work wonders that is all
No u wont get any power gain itz just in your head. near plugs and wires will just make it smoother.
BOSCH 7mm Spark Plug Wires. Available in Red or Grey. $28.95
The Bosch 09 811 wire set utilizes dielectrically superior 1-piece spark plug connectors.
These “click-to-fit” connectors may look different but are less troublesome
than the 3-piece plug connectors used in other wire sets.
Thank you for copying and pasting the exact description that they give you online.
“Cool Wires”-they better than the cheap kind + got some strut to them + you can choose from a wide range of color…such as a carbon fiber white look
I’ve got MSD wires with an MSD cap and external COIL. Didn’t notice any difference, got the wires used. They don’t stay on well, I’ve got zip ties holding them on. not necessary for my current set up, but may help along the line when I get my crower 404’s in, adj cam gears, and vafc, who knows, it was just a cheap mod I could do myself, external coil looks cool anyways:bowthank:
