Tegcrazy: From what I’ve read, it’s best to stay with the cams that came with the motor, however, adjustable cam gears can get you <20 hp.

Personally, I wouldn’t buy a drag3 kit again, in fact, I wouldn’t buy any kit at all. I’d piece it all together from the best parts, and do it all custom.
My drag kit came with crappy rubber lines and copper pipe (supposedly an oil return line) and I ended up buying a bunch of earl’s fittings and stainless braided lines… Other things were annoying about it, but I’m a little OCD.

There’s plenty of information to be read, look around and you’ll find more than you can remember.

current status:
350 miles on motor since last summer, garaged.
it makes a noise, i think it’s piston slap, and it annoys/scares me, at this point i have too much sunk into the motor to blow it up. the turbo’s not on it, and i’m not driving it. i’d rather just store it until i can tear the motor apart and double check everything.

anyone in the area that wants to hear it running can let me know…

the drag kit is a good kit but I personaly dont like the intercooler and the piping. the upper intercooeler piping to the throttle body from the fmic is rather small to me. I personally like a custom build. You could do a custom build for a rather cheap price and come out saving some money to put toward others things like a wide-band,gauges etc. but overall its a good kit. Turbonetics make a cheap kit. I believe right now there going for 2600 dollars but it does have a log style manifold. Dont like those.

I have a question. Is notching out the cross member nessesary??? I never seen anyone else hav eto do so??

Tegcrazy: I have some input for you retard. First off STR throttle bodies are 68mm, not 89mm. Second of all your car is slow and gay. :gayfight: No matter what you do your car will always be slow. Having a stock 1.5 liter non-vtec with a few bolt-ons is weak ass. You will never be fast. Even if it is “JDM” though it’s not I’m sure. Turboing it won’t help. Why don’t you try searching you idiot. Oh wait I forgot you can’t read. :loser: Check into B-series motors instead of that crappy stock CRX HF motor you got for free. Running a 18 second quarter mile is not quick. Just give up and go home. :gayfight:
