Stock axles okay for turbo application?

I don’t think I’ll be running more than 280HP at the crank, so I was wondering if the stock axles will be handle that kind of HP.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

if you get 280 horsepower, dont drag race with slicks, or otherwise…

I don’t think you’ll have a problem with street tires, maybe with slicks you will

you’ll probably blow the diff before you break a half-shaft

you have to worry more about the torque than the HP when you’re considering what parts your going to break. If you’re running 280 crank hp on a B18A be concerned, if it’s on a VTEC motor you can be less concerned…

I snaped my 2 month old cv joint on street tires. It sheered it right off right behind the rotor. Now I a afraid to launch it some times. There is a company in NY who makes axles for our cars. There rated @ 500hp for 500.00 for 2 axles I am not sure about the half shaft.
