stock b18a1 231k, ready for boost?

This is my first time posting in this forum, although I have used G2ic alot in the past. I have the stock b18a1, runs really strong although i havent done a leak down or anything on it. And I have a stock (now grinding) transmission. Even better, I have run into the funds to fix my car. I havent had the car that long, but having a G2 is kind of an underground thing around here. There are not many. I havent even raced any and i know of only about 5 custom G2’s in columbia.

Besides all that, Im probably up for a lot of options, maybe even a jdm swap, given my situation what would you do? You want to throw down a good 230whp, keeping your car sleeper. Stay with the b-series, keeping an integra, an integra if you know what i mean. What could give me more bang for my buck rebuild my B18A1 or get some other B18?

I know some of you have been down this road before, I am just looking for some advice.

search, do a leakdown/compression test, and run a turbo at about 8-9 psi to accomplish your goals. If the motor’s in good shape you’re golden.

you think if my motor turns out ok, i can turbo it? what about the transmission, I dont know, it could grind because of my clutch because it only seems to do so at top end.

First, ask yourself what the car is going to be used for. Then find out your budget. There are so many options that only you can decide what’s best for you. Turbo doesn’t come cheap, if you want a reliable car. All-motor is an expensive route as well. Just keep those things in mind and do a little research on turbo, nitrous, all motor, etc. Find out what sounds more like what you want. Then procede from there. HTH

if the engine dosn’t smoke, its good to go. IMHO. 230whp dosn’t make an LS break a sweat. I’ve made 230+whp on 175k+ mile LS’s. theve been runnning for many months.
