stock b18c1 turbo HP expectations

I will be going to get my car dyno tuned within the next 2 weeks. I spoke with the tuner and he told me i should make around 280-300 hp. This to me seems kinda low…what do you guys think? Here are my engine mods. 680cc injectors, skunk2 intake manifold portmatched with a 70mm throttle body, 2.5" DP going to a 3" catback exhaust(no cat or resonator), stock ignition, stock engine with 235-240 compression across all cylinders. blox cast iron LOG manifold and a t3/t4 turbo AR .63 50 trim. I was expecting to hear somewhere around 320 to 330 hp. I guess ill have to wait and see when i go, but to reiterate what kind of realistic numbers am i looking at?

hate to tell you but hes probably right. you still look like you need a fuel pump, arp head studs, better manifold, and please tell me that ur not usin a ebay turbo.:ghetto: and the bottle neck downpipe will only hurt. why not go with the 3" downpipe/traction bar. 300 is safe daily with what u have. that extra 20-30 you want will cost you some more parts and boost.

about the ebay turbo yea its a crap turbo, however i was using the same one on my LS for about 2 years and it worked fine. I street tuned it with my friend when i was obd0 using turboedit, it pulled nice but never dyned it to see what kind of numbers i was putting down. Im going the dyno tune route because its a gsr, and i dont wanna run the risk of it running like garbage or blowing it. With the LS it was different because its just a LS, they can be obtained for cheap. Anyway yea i forgot to say that i have the 255 fuel pump and traction bars. The reason why i have a 2.5"DP is because when i had it made for me when i was running LS-T, i didnt want the car to fall on its face on low end…i wanted some sort of back pressure for torque. i made 344hp on a stock gsr, it lasted 2 yrs… Im doing a whole new setup right now

what was your set up like?

Do you have an aftermarket clutch?? 300 hp is pushing the limits of a stock clutch!!!

yea i have a competition 4puck sprung clutch kit and those were really good numbers to 924dr

I’d say with a 3" downpipe and a good tune, 330hp is definitely attainable. Who’s the tuner you’re going to?

im going to this tuner shop called wired by my house. The guy tuned my friends delsol with the same set up as mine. the only diff is that she had a 3"dp and 750cc injectors and was pushing 365 for about 2 years their website is wirednj.com i opened up the thread here because ive been seeing dyno charts from people in forums with stock gsrs and barely scratching 300.
