stock injectors n fuel pump for a 7-8 psi setup

if you want to use stock injectors and fuel pump you will need a FMU.

dont ever say fmu on g2ic again… ur giving the n00bs bad ideas… AHAHAHAHAH

Nothing is wrong with using a FMU. Its just old technology and they have ways around it.

yes yes noobs
fmu=fuel managment unit?
first time boosting a car but have to learn somewhere

If you use an FMU, Please proceed to slap yourself accross the face.

Or bang your head against the computer desk.

Go to your local junkyard and find a dsm, pull some blue tops, they are pretty
commen. 450cc. Now, replace your fuel pump and chip your ecu using chrome. or the desired program you would like to use.
Just find a good tuner.

But to answer your question, NO

Your not ready to boost your car. Spend more time reading and reading.
Hours upon hours. Just read your mind out, and once you think your done. Research and read alittle more.
This is on Bossting a da of course, Read how other and what they did etc…
There is an awsome thread on here some where, its, What you shoulda done or wished you did when boosting.
It woud def help.

And low boost 7-8psi Is Shiet. On what? a B14 7psi is hella diffrent that a 7psi on a Gt28r etc…

i have been reading n reading. and have thought about getting injectors from a dsm, but i have heard of some DA’s that are out there that are boosted with stock injectos n pump.
its just on this forum everyone says something different. hates one thing love the next but the next guy hates that thing and loves the first.
and why 7-8psi, i dont want anything crazy im not out to beat the world. actually i dont even like to race, but i like to learn and once i get a 7-8psi running good yes i will bump it up. in this case id rather start low n DRIVE home. not go big and TOW home.
but i appreciate ur input it actually helped.

Something that I’ve learned since I’ve joined alot of the boards is experience. We all go out there and run the same shit as everyone else and look what do you know, we all have almost the same results. Pretend you didnt have the internet for a day. Pretend you had to do all the R&D yourself or with your peers. This would be a tough world of modifying cars.

Anyhow, you can run 6-7psi on any engine and still end up “towing” it home. Its all about te tuning.

you guys are forgetting something… 7-8psi with a tiny turbo might be possible with around stock fuel pressure, it all depends on turbo size. not that i suggest running a t15 turbo on an integra but it should work fine… ahahah, doubt you will gain much hp tho.
if nothing is wrong with an fmu then my friends m3 is fully tuned and he should daily drive it huh? please nick, kick yourself in the nuts. there is alot wrong with fmu’s. but anyways, yea fmu = fuel managment unit… they do the same as a visegrip on your return line would… except the visegrip might be predictable.
ps my friends m3 is completely swapped and turbo but sits because there isnt much in the market for ems’s… i think we decided on running an aem ems for an obd2a honda so if it breaks he can barrow mine.

i have an e36 as well, im on a forum called maxbimmer.com tell him to go there he might be able to find some help with his bmw.
and yes its only a small turbo, i only want to gain maybe 60hp, then get used to tuning and modding ecu’s then go bigger.

most of the bimmer forums are full of idiots. i found a couple that had a couple people who atleast knew what they were talking about. my friends car is actually a 94 325 but its easier to say m3. me and my friend did a complete obd2 m3 swap in it with aa tuning turbo kit with no help from any forums. there are a couple ems’s out there(evosport aem ems, electromotive tec3), but they cost more than the m3 motor itself. we should have the aem ems 30-1060 goin pretty soon, we have other shit to work on tho. we will probably start selling engine harnesses ready to go for the aem ems once we make sure ours works gucci.
i have a set of rc310’s that came with my greddy kit if you want them make an offer. i would have to find them but im sure they are around.

ok i have a extra ecu but its from an automatic, can i wire that up aswell make it 5spd?

You might have taken my reply wrong.

I was just saying that 8psi on your small turbo is much diffrnt that 8 psi on a much larger turbo.

And you can easily have you car towed home, even if your at 5psi.

Tunging. I’m slowly building a kit for my JDM B16A, and I only want to run 6psi. i just want alittle bit of pep in the step,

Well good luck, let us know when everything comes together

no no i was just saying. i will as soon as i get everything i will start takin pics and show everyone how it goes. Just wondering on the tuning part.
i am going to use turboedit. but i want to see if i can use the auto ecu make it a 5spd and how to wire it up. i am reading but i cant find the right wire (nokia) off ebay.

oh ok.

well When I got my JDM B16A from HMO, they had Locashracing
chip my ecu from auto to 5spd. I wasnt happy but hey. It works.

You would be better off getting a manual ECU.

If you have the ls engine then you could go to the local junkyard and just slip it under your belt. Or pay for it. I’d pay. lol

Anyway, Yeah goodluck on everything, Make sure you can find someone who tunes with turbo edit. I’m sure someone on here would be more than happy to help you if they live near by.

Just make sure you covered everything and go over it all.

Goodluck and I cant wait to see the end results.

im talking to someone right now about obd1 conversion. but is that worth it?

im obd0 to obd2 :stuck_out_tongue:

All that just to run Power FC. Its worth it to me for standalone!

well i have been told that you cant tune it asmuch as the obd1…
