i am buying a 91 ls…engine has somewhere 90k to 110k on it…new turbo w/230miles running 4psi…pretty sure the ecu has been done by the guys at turboedit…engine is bone stock…can i safely get more boost w/o having to worry about doing any harm to the engine…if so how much?
as long as the motor is in perfect running condition, you should do a compression and leak down test. You could turn the turbo up depending on what kind(size) of turbo it is.
t4 turbonetics
use at least dsm 450cc injectors if you’re going to up the boost…
youre running a T4 on a stock ls…?
It is all in TUNNING…:whisper:
u should be able to get 8 to 10 psi safely on stock internals.
josh
its not about the psi u boost
differnt turbo differnt boost
turbo a boosting 5lbs can net 190
turbo b boosting 5lbs can net 200
ect
its about the power output
for a stock ls i myself wouldnt go over 250
usally our motors are old tahts y
if its a fresh motor i would go 10+20…
search for xenonc’s ls
he made 300 on stock block…
people say 300 is pushing it on a stock block
i know what ur saying. but its widely known that a stock motor saying running a t3/t4 or t3 can run at 8-10 pounds safely. its just an example. that is common.
josh
there are many man t3/t4
from small to large
i know what u mean tho
did i mention that it will be an everyday driver…yeah it already has dsm 450cc injectors
