If the money rolls in, it’ll be up and running definitely by the end of the month. haha
So all of this week was assembly. The head is fully complete. Dowel pins, oil plug, cam followers, lost motion pieces, valves, seals, springs, retainers, keepers. Ready to slap onto the block.
The block is done as far as the pistons, rings, crank, rods, bearings, and rear main seal go.
Parts still needed to complete the motor and get it started up:
water pump (22T)
timing belt kit (acquiring from Gates)
oil pump (p72)
Skunk2 intake manifold
maybe hondata intake manifold gasket
rywire obd0-obd1 harness kit with vtec wires to plug n play
phearable chipped p28 ecu with basemap so i can run the car for a good 50 miles to get the motor fine tuned.
Barely can see it, but valve seals (exhaust side)
Preparing for installing keepers and retainers.
Had to slap this on the valve cover. LOL
How the valves look. Everything but cam followers installed in this pic.
Cam followers, oil plug, and dowel pins installed (in that order)
Oil plug teflon taped.
Golden Eagle sandwich plate installed.
Pins pressed into the pistons and rods. Rings installed as well.
Bottom end assembled 80%
Finally doing a BIG update on both car and project. What I’ve done so far:
-Painted the black front bumper red.
-Traded off my Mugen MR5’s for some Enkei 92’s wrapped in Falken Ziex’s. (Re-makes, got both brand new)
-Bought oil p72 oil pump, Gates Racing timing belt kit with 22T water pump, OBD1 vtec distributor, Rywire ECU jumper (Local G2 member), Rywire OBD0-OBD1 distributor adaptor.
-Assembled the motor. Just need little parts here and there.
Other small things:
-Bought matching rear seats with 4 door head rests put in. Now JDM front seats match.
-Put in Type R shifter. Megan Racing shifter was positioned too forward. Now positioned closer to me.
-Integra rear mudflaps installed.
-Had my father fix the clear coat on my hood.
-Fixed driver side window visor; double sided tape was no longer adhering to the car.
-Removed window tint
-New windshield.
Only big parts needed to get Ls/Vtec running is an intake manifold and p28 ECU chipped with proper basemap for break-in and drive to the dyno.
Now for pics.
looking good didnt even notice your tint was gone last week
love that shot, gives me more motivation to keep my 3 pieces. what % is your front windshield tinted?
Gates belts look sexy… love em!
darussian- Yeah dude, I tore it off as soon as I became a single man XD No use for it anyway, and it had the wiper and weksos sticker etched into it haha!
integra_hot- Eh the 3 pieces are starting to wear off on me. 1 pieces are probably my next route as soon as i re-do the paint. The front windshield is not tinted, and I do not know what the visor tint % is; bought the windshield with the tint already installed.
unified- Haha! Me too! Hence why I bought it

i understand the 3 piece wearing off…im not planning to get a set of one pieces until next year some time, especially since they inflated in price so bad over the last few years. i thought i read on another post that it was tinted. my bad. either way it looks great…best its looked on wheels since the blades IMO. keep it up
Well the time has come! After some bullshit last week, I ended up getting another financial aid check. I picked up my intake manifold, and ordered my ECU.
Small stuff need to be picked up like:
-Spark Plugs
-Oil & Filters
-Woodruff key
Other than that, that’s pretty much it. Should be up and running properly in the middle of the month.
thats gorgeous!
It is! I love buying new parts. Haha
