Recomend me a good 10" sub for $200 or less.
I want massive amounts of bass. I have a 10" Type R right now. Its on its way out.
i have 1 10" Hifonics Power of the Gods SQ Series in my trunk and it is an awesome sub, not sure how much one would run because i got mine at a garage sale lol
The two sony Xplodes in my trunk are hawt. They can be yours :).
Anyways, I reccomend XPlodes in a dual sealed enclosure, my qlogic box is great for metal and old skewl rock.

why??? all your gonna do is rattle your car apart, or warp your hatch lid (i did and the paint is cracking), If you want massive bass your gonna need to up ur price cap and get a pioneer premere or a audiobahn. What is a critical part is what amp you have, match a amp to a sub is what really bring them to life
I dont give a shit if it rattles apart. I have NEW car not an OLD car. I have a 350w Alpine Digital Mono block amp. There. I thought Audiobahn was crap.
JL audio makes some good subs. not sure what they go for though. Rockford fosgate also.

Yeah if you wanna go with banwagon products buy JL. Regarding Rockford, their shit is… well shit. They used to have good stuff like 6 years ago. It went downhill after that. And pioneer and audiobahn are both crap as well.

Zapco just came out with some subs, their iForce line. It’s their entry level sub, but some of the dealers are saying it’s better than JL’s W3. I can’t wait till they release their Reference and Competition line subs.
There’s a simple reason why JL’s are a “bandwagon” sub, as you call them: They are, dollar-for-dollar, possibly the best subwoofer line on the market and have been since about 1997. Anyone who hates JL audio’s linup as a whole has probably not heard a good JL setup…that or they hate them on the principle that they ARE so popular.
JL makes good products but I wouldnt say dollar for dollar there the best out there. I would love to own a slash series amp though, no matter what your voltage is at they still put out there rated RMS power. 
Look into getting a RE XXX. Louder and cleaner than a JL W7 with a way cheaper price tag, about 50% cheaper. But be prepared to buy atleast a 1800W amp to power that bad boy and say good bye to what trunk you have.
I like JL. But I try to go with different brands, cause there is better stuff out there. It’s the people that think JL is the greatest and best brand out there and nothing else. Thats what bugs me. I’m actually installing a JL centerconsle stealthbox in my girlfriends mom’s 99 yukon, runnon on a zapco iforce i2100. I wanted to keep it all stock looking, with no loss of room. And not have to do tons of custom work. So my only other option was the mtx center consle box which looks like a piece of tupperware.
I’m going to run a whole zapco setup in my teg (besides the alpine head unit). iForce 4x100 4 channel amp (not yet released, so don’t know the model I think it will be the i4100), running a zapco iForce 5.25 component set (gonna fab up some kick panels) and then fab up the tweet in the mirror cover on the door, then run a zapco iForce 6.5" from a component set (not use the crossover or tweet) in the door. and probably a i2100(getting the new style as well, releasing at the begining of the year) to a zapco iforce 10" sub.
In my truck I’m currently running a Zapco Competition C2K6.0 Going to 2 12" Alumapro MX subs and a Zapco C2K2.5 going to a Alumapro ALC 6.5" Component set.
Check out the RE Audio SE sub. You might need some more power though.

I have to agree with the others jl is good stuff. But its exspencive stuff. I have a kicker 10L7 in a lil sealed box in my car and I love it. People always ask what kinda subS do you have? And there like its only 1 10?
The SE is a ok sub but if you really want SQ and SPL you need to look at the XXX, perferably 15" or 18". Those things are just nasty. :rockon:

I have 2 10" sony xplodes in a qlogic, brand new condition, with mounted sony amplifier, they will kill small animals who come close to the bass. 250 + shipped, pics available.
Oh, I didnt notice the 350W amp. Nix the XXX then. 
He could easily afford a SX, just needs a bigger amp for that speaker too.
I have 2 10" Alpine Type-S, I love them. They go nice with my Type-S mids, and Alpine headunit. They can take a beating, but I got them to sound good.
