“Anything is possible with enough money”
^I know. That out the way, has anyone done it? If so, what did it run ya?
Picture this: A black DB w/suicide doors, sedan handles all around, slammed like Luciferi

I personally don’t think our Civics have enough class for that.
Gack! I think I’ll chuck it all up now!:werd:
:bored:
DB is not a civic, integra’s have mad class.
And n00b poster #2, your post is barely english.
next. :read:
A) I wouldn’t think any SP would allow what you’re thinking.
B) I also think it would look, when opened, not to my liking and I’m allowed an opinion.
C) English? Explain how a vehicle door is “mad”?
I’m not gonna get into it with you dude. You don’t have suicide doors on your teg, you don’t think it would look good, therefor you have nothing to contribute to this thread.
I’m not asking for opinions, I wanna know if its been done.

never seen it before, i think it would look sweet on a completely slammed car.
i hope this doesn’t turn into a suicide doors are teh ghey! thread…
but hasn’t it been done on civics and other cars before? so integras are probably similar. However i doubt anyone on this forum has done this, so maybe some other forum would give better answers.
all i know is that suicide doors are dangerous!!!
they’re only dangerous if you don’t know how to close a door.
I really don’t think its been done… I’ve spent a few hours searchin the net today and came up empty handed.
I guess I’ll be the first. :werd:
…in 5 years when I’m done w/school, have money, and still have interest in 23 year old cars
i seen a 4door integra with lambos on the front and suicides for the rear about a year ago, ill see if i can find a pic. and i believe autoloc might make a kit for the db if not try decah or gt. im sure someone will have a universal kit also which just takes a bit of work to get them to fit
yeah, I personally don’t go for lambo’s but if it did indeed have suicide rears thats what I’m looking for!

no, it’s not that. if you were to open a door into traffic, a car may hit the door and end up squishing/ severing something. that’s why they stopped making cars with suicide doors. they don’t call them suicide for nothin’.
I think if a car is close enough to hit your door, you’d have a pretty good chance of getting fuxored even with conventional doors.
I do believe I’ve seen it. Didn’t interest me much so I didn’t pay much attention.
nooo, it pushes the door into you as opposed to ripping the door off away from you. teg doors are fairly long and open wide. like in that commercial for nowwhat.com.
I saw a DA on here once that had them. It is in one of those threads on GD like “what is your favorite Integra ever” or whatever
actualy there are a couple cars in production today that use suicide doors
here is one such car Mazda RX-8
and thats not why they are called suicide doors
Suicide doors first got there name back in the 1930’s because a combination of terrible chassis flex, and unreliable single acting catches means that they could come undone over bumps or whilst cornering. Without seatbelts it was very easy to fall out, and be killed
seeing as all the doors of that time were of that design, then it would be appropriate to call any door a suicide door as we are making the assumption that we carried the name just for the hell of it. if you were to do a little more research on the subject, you would find the reason for the change in definition.
btw, you cannot compare that flap that opens out to a suicide door. you should know why.
either way. it is not a very good idea.

its called a suicide half door. it still carries the same design and function of the full sized suicide door. and several cars made today use them. any idiot could get hit by traffic stepping out of the car if they didnt pay attention, its human error, in no part the doors fault.
and i actually posted the reason for the change in definition… maybe you should re-read the post
its not a very good idea for some people to drive, like most people over the age of 55… but there still allowed to. its his car and he thinks it would look good, more power to him if he does make it look good on a DA. i’d actually like to see pics, its a semi-interesting idea and depending on how it looked i may think about doing it
here’s a link to a suicide door kit.
