Tdo4h 15g on a b18b

Sup all, have searched in numerous forums and have not found an answer. i am currently piecing together a turbo kit, and still deciding on what size turbo to go with. i have a b18b motor and from all the diff setups ive seen, majority of them went for a t3 turbo and all had just the same power gains w/ around 8psi of boost. Now ive heard or read somewhere that the tdo4h 15g that came with the SOHC greddy kits spool quickly, but since it is a small turbo, top end is sacrificed. Can Anyone clarify this for me? Is it worth the try to slap it on a Ls motor? Also if possible what Wastegate can be used?(tial 38mm, etc…)
Will be tuning w/ Hondata s200, and maybe some cams?

thanks

-suggestions and etc. welcomed

Top end isnt sacrificed, i think that it is a misconception, i have a 42/48 and dont lose any boost

the thing is that going into boost is more of a pain in the ass because of how fast it spools

if u plan on boosting more then i would get a 60 trim and u are good to 20psi or more

going into boost more of a pain because it spools quick? Fuck, sounds awesome:D

i think tegboi had a sohc turbo kit refabbed to his LS and he saw some decent results. im definitely going for this turbo then, but if i do stumble upon a cheap t3 then that instead.

yea, i had decent results… i probrably even would’ve ran better if the motor was in good condition…

dont forget, after i tore everything apart, i found that the ringlands were alll bad… and who knows how long they’ve been bad…

top end isnt really sacraficed since you can only rev to 6700 or 7000

as long as your tuned good, piping & fmic setup right, fuel management taken cared of, i can see it working very well… alot better then mine, and mine ran pretty good even with the problems, on a stock LS ecu, and a FMU

if i remember correctly, my 14.6 was ran at a measly 5psi also
