My car isn’t made like that.
The fogs switch is on the left side of the steering wheel, and the defrost is at the same place than yours. That’s what I tough when I read this teg tip… I’ll write one for canadian models.

No it’s because you don’t have power sun roof. when you have the sunroof option, acura put the sunroof switch where your fog light switch is, then they moved the fog switch beside the defrogger
ok heres my question to you… now that you can turn on your fogs any time with out the head lights or running lights on… do you just use the fog light switch or the defroster switch to turn your fogs on… and does your defroster and your fos on blow a fuse???

When you re-wire your foglights, everything stays normal, as far as switch operation, and fuses goes. All your doing when you re-wire the fogs, is borrowing power form the defroster. In order to turn your fogs on, you use your fog switch, and in order to turn your deforster on you use your defrost button. You will not blow a fuse if you use both at the same time.
You now how if you have your headlights and foglights on
at the same time, but then you turn on your highbeams…
the foglights turn off? Well, if you rewire them, does this
still happen, or do the foglights stay on with the highbeams.
If they do, that doesn’ seem like a good thing to me…might
be too much power. But maybe it still acts normal if you do
this re-wire. Anyone know?
I also have a '90 RS, with the switches on opposite sides of the steering wheel. so i cant just splice them together, can anyone tell me how I would go about rewiring them?

make a jumper wire. connect a spare wire to the noe on the foglight, then run it along the guage bezel area under it all then to the defroster swithc. done
Really, it isnt all that hard. My foglights are side by side, and I decided to re-wire them at 11 o’clock at night. Got it done in about 10-15 mins; finished in time to watch Leno
Just be easy on the switches, you dont wanna snap em when you take em out. There pretty strong, but be careful none the less. Oh, and make sure you disconnect your battery before you do this too, it only takes about 2 mins to disconnect it, and it will save you form getting a mad shock
I have never re-wired fogs that are across the steering wheel form eachother, but im sure it can’t be much harder. All you have to do is get some wire, 22 gauge or so i guess, and trail it behind the dash to the other side of the steering wheel.
its cool man i was giving sol1d (arman) a bad time. ive done about 15 tegs. i can pop the switch out by getting my hands between the steering wheel and dash.so no pulling the dash or anything even for an rs. that has the switches on the oppsoite sides. its actually pretty easy:)
Yea, i finally got around to re-wiring my rs this weekend. I just took an 16 gauge wire(could have gone 18) and extended the wire from the fogs switch over the the defroster switch…easy stuff…
does the rear defogger still work the same after rewiring?i’m guessing that your just getting power from the defogger right?
has anyone ever re wired fogs to automaticlly come on when you start the car?is this possible?

Quick question? I installed 99 leathers into my 90 gs, Had to cut wires under seat to stop seatbelt beep. Now my hazards dont work l.o.t.(lil off topic). But back to the subject, When i replaced my old fog bulbs. My left fog blue out with my left headlight, changed all the fuses, no difference. Do you think its sake to swap the fogs w/def.?
