Teggyguys molasses build thread

Buy specialized mounts… get effed.

Did you find the issue?

As far as I know the post/mount on the driver side differs between LS/RS GS-R…

Getting my HaSports in was a joke… there is no movement in the mounts at all. It took my brother and me both, pushing, shoving and rocking the motor to get them all to line up, and that’s just 3 mounts… with the front mount I’m sure it’s that much more of a pain.

The post mount is the same for all 90-93 Integras. It’s the actual rubber mount that differs in width, and it’s pretty noticeable when you drop a 90-91/DB2 driver’s side mount into a 92-93 RS/LS/GS. I don’t think that’s his problem though.
You said you’re using the Type R rear t-bracket though Troy?

Not using type-r rear T-bracket. Used stock. I supposed if that’s the issue oh well. I just need a driver side 90-91 mount now. Everything is in there and good at this point just the one mount… and a clutch cable.

No pictures today but:

A\C lines are run and new o-rings installed. Modified the bracket to hold them further away from the header. CV axles installed. Map sensor wire extended to use the type-r on the throttle body sensor. Power lines connected. Fuel return situated. All the little underneath brackets are connected. Linkages are connected.

Need a crush washer to connect that fuel rail up and then a couple misc things left.
Does anyone have a slim fan for a DA? I cut the shroud on the stock fan but it still doesn’t fit with that giant header.

Didn’t notice this until the new pics without the hardware and what not… did that valve cover come with your swap, it looks like it isn’t the original finish.

Well, shit… I knew something was different somewhere in that area!!

It did come with the swap. From what I’ve heard Steve at HMotors paints all the valve covers. Oh well. It’s clean and the wrinkle paint is decent.

Yeah, got it sorted out. Plugs and wires were the culprit.

Awesome good to hear! Storms calm down out there?

ive cut the crap out of my fan and its still hitting…guess i need a slim fan too lol…

Yeah, it was definitely a rough couple of days. Back to normal. Just hotter than all hell :frowning:

Word I found one for about 25 so they’re out there, but you’ll probably need to use your stock plugs and put them on the new one.

Hahaha shitty. Glad to hear it’s just hot now. It’s been rainy off and on here. Thought it was going to snow the other day >.<

Other news: Teggy is all primed and ready. Need a little gas and my lower exhaust manifold piece. O2 bung on top (i’m using 1 wideband and 1 stock) was straight under the half shaft :-\ so have a friend fixing that for me. Should have it started tonight!!! :burnout:

so what post mount did u end up using? i have the b20 one on the motor rite now and i had to remove a stud to hold it up temporatily

Actually just stock. One of my local buddies is donating it for me lol. Local g2ic crew is the reason this thing is even as close as it is

ok, i gotta try n get the one back from the guy i sold my motor too the b20 one’s angle is different. thanks and keep up the work

Word. Yea I sold my mount to rollinmyda on accident lol

Sorry man, I would have given it back but I accidentally sold it too… Glad to hear you’re getting one though!

Haha no worries brotha! I got one from one of the local guys so it’s allll good.

IN OTHER NEWS!!! SHE STARTED TONIGHT!!! My starter I rebuilt is not working well though >.< it’s needing taps. It also seems it doesn’t have enough juice to crank this bish over very well :frowning: But I got it running for a minute or two… It’s 10pm here and it’s just sitting with an open header rofl so can’t be doing that. I will sort the starter out and get some video of it starting and running in the next few days!
