Ordered clutch line, clutch master cylinder and shift boot Next are shift linkage, short shifter, knob, and possibly intermediate shaft!
You have a cable operated transmission, you definitely aren’t going to need a clutch line or clutch master cylinder. I would immediately cancel/return those if I were you
Aw shit. Really? Damn, not again. haha. Oh well I guess cause I already paid for the shit and it’s en route
Alright so I came across some luck today. Dad told me a '92 teg showed up at pull-a-part. We drove over to Montgomery to check her out. It’s a 5-speed and has most of the parts I need to start my swap. So today we just grabbed the center console and the ECU. Tomorrow we are going to get the intermediate shaft, pedal assembly, maybe the cluster, shifter, and linkage. Next I’ll just have to get axles and a tranny mount. Here’s a pic of what I got today. I’ll have some more tomorrow after we get back. We’ll be there early that way we don’t miss out on the parts
Alrght, so today, we got there and they were some guys around the car. Freaked me out, but luckily they only needed the AC compressor. Once they were out of the way we started getting to work. We realized what a bitch it’s going to be to get that pedal assembly in, but whatever haha. Ended up getting the shifter, shift linkage, pedal assembly, cluster, intermediate shaft, flywheel, and pressure plate. All for $110 and some change. Saved some crazy money. Here’s a pic. I’ll be getting a low profile jack and two more jack stands, then the swap will commence. Stay tuned

You sure that’s an ECU man? This is what an OBD1 PR4 should look like, notice how the mounting points differ:
ABS control module maybe?
thats what it looks like to me, it for sure doesnt look like a OBD0 or OBD1 ECU
Idk, maybe I grabbed the wrong thing. But I have the one I got with the tranny, I just got this one to make sure one of them was right I guess haha. And I’m OBD0, year’s '91.
Thinking about going with an Exedy OEM replacement clutch, or, a Competition Stage 1 if I can get a good price. Also, just ordered an Energy Suspension shifter bushing kit
Alright well the deal with the clutch is I am getting a Competition Stage 2 from a friend for a good price so look forward to that. Today, we actually started on the car. We figured we would go ahead and do as much of the inside as possible first. About half way done I’d say. Got a bunch of stuff out and the pedal assembly mounted along with the hole for the clutch cable and all that good stuff. Here’s some pics! Maybe some more work tomorrow. Doubt it though since dad’ll be watching NASCAR. I’ll see what happens
dont know how i missed this build but its a damn good one.great work man really brought her back from the dead.looking forward to hearing more fom it.
I’ve been out of the game for while because of the tranny. Been over 8 months now :bawl:
SO jealous I miss my Del Sol wheels!!! They look so good on a 4 door!
Oh those are from the civic. I just put my Drags on the civic since I’ve been driving that. They’ll be back on the teg when I finish with the swap
looking good brother man, your doin some good work. cant wait to get back and tear my DB1 down again
Thanks man my dad is a huge help especially when it came to wiring up the reverse lights and other stuff
Well got a tiny bit more done. Took off pretty much all the suspension components from the passenger side to make room for when we pull the tranny. If I never mentioned it, we are pulling from the bottom. Here’s a couple pics. The bay shot was really just because I felt like it, haha. All I did was take some hoses out and start unplugging stuff. Basically all we are going to do is tilt the transmission side down and slide the tranny off. Anyways here are some pics
Oh yeah, and here is the culprit for my blown tranny. I’m assuming this pin holds the gear in place, or, that is the lock for when you put it in park. I’m not sure, but when it slipped out it annihilated everything in its path haha
