Teggykid Running Log *New Wheels*

Ahhh, sorry I misread your post.

If you need any assistance with it shoot me an email I would be happy to drop you my number:up:

the bolster adjuster is normal, its a great thing to have when you wanna loosen up the seats for a more comfortable relaxation.

no problem, nd if i have some questions ill probably will email you, thanks for the help offer. and its a cool feature on the seats. i had no idea they had that

Those are GS seats which is why they have the adjustment knob on the side. I don’t think the LS or RS have it.

SOME MORE UPDATES

well i spent all afternoon in my garage waiting on my packages, and nothing showed up. Then Charles (works with Fedex, mom used to work with him, my house is on his route) called my dad and said he put them on the back porch, haha. but all the pieces are here. What i got in the past 2 days - front seats, back seat, side pieces for back seat, steering wheel, trunk carpet pieces. pretty good 2 days if you ask me. the color of the seats are a charcoal greyish color? what colors did the interiors come in because the front looks grey/black but has blue lines in the middle pieces? i dont know, but i dont car either, they look x100 better that the seats in there. here’s some pics.

i love that pattern and color sceam:up:

pattern’s fine and colors fine too, like i said before, they are 100x better than the ones i have in the car. its like a parts warehouse in my garage now

lol my three spoke is missing its horn emblem too.

i was wondering if thats what that was, oh well. maybe i can fill the hole with something?

get creative, i filled mine with a small pendant of a walmart-like yellow smiley face that i found at a flea market.
cruise the junkyard if you want to OEM horn peice, tho they fell out of most of the steering wheels, it was just pressed in, no adhesive.

what year of db1 did those come out of ? I have been looking everywhere for some

i belive it came out of a 92, and yes, they are VERY HARD TO FIND. the back seat is the hardest, it took me a while until i finally found these. i know some who has a back seat if you are interested. its blue though, not sure if that matters to you? his user name on t-i is Yug_ (something) i dont remember the rest, but maybe you can still find him?

If your askin about the Seats, they came from my 92 DB1 GS Model. They are in good condition I think. I am happy to know that they went to some one who is going very far with hard work on a nice DB1. At the end, when all is complete, it will be a great feeling to know that the work payed off.

teggykid952… Thanks for all. Happy to know all turned out good. I will look around the garage for any extra plastic pieces. Don’t think any are there but I will check. Be safe and I can’t wait to see the finished result.

thanks redline, i appreciate the great deal on the seats  . just ready to get it home and put all my new goodies in!:dance::dance:

sorry for no updates guys, I’ve been REALLY busy with robotics at school, but after the weekend of Oct 12th (i think that’s the day) ill be free because that is the first competition and after that we don’t really have much to do because we already have everything done. anyways, the only thing i can say is that Steve said the sanding is good and he’s gonna start doing the black (hood, roof in between gutters, trunk lid). that’s all for now, once again sorry for no updates.

I also forgot to mention that when i was looking around in the car, i decided to figure out what the previous owner did to put on the Tenzo-R steering wheel. Turns out i have a Momo hub! Who would have guessed? Cheap steering wheel with expensive hub. Anyways, since I am putting a stock steering wheel back in I might be selling the hub. It looks to be in pretty good shape, i don’t how “worn” a hub can get. If I recall from looking at them online they were in the $100-$120 range? What do you guys, honestly, think would be a good price? I was thinking maybe $60? Also (I’m about to go search this) are there different styles of hubs you can get? or just one? If there’s more than one you’ll have to wait until i go see the car again to find out which one it is.

ok, found THIS. that looks to be it (same cover and same design as i recall). Now with that in mind how much would be a good price? once again nothing wrong with the hub, no tears or anything in the cover part.

$60 is about the right asking price for a momo hub.

ok, i appreciate the reply, i guess whenever i go back ill take off the hub and put my new steering wheel on. i appreciate the help!

well prep work is officially done! only took like 2-3 months but hey, at least it’s done. Steve is gonna start the strenuous task of priming and blocking, also fixing the damage to the driver side back door fender part (not the fender well but the opposite side? idk if that makes sense. sorry no close up pic) and filling up the emblem holes. i think since my antenna is all jacked up we are going to be deleting that  . Excited to get the car home! Should be done by the end of this month and my birthday is the 21st of this month, almost 16! i’ve only been waiting for the day since i knew what a car was, haha. also since we are not bothering the paint the engine bay i am going to use milano red so it will match the bay, no need for 2 different reds throughout the car. i HOPE i can still get the vibrant exhaust i want for my birthday, but i have:

  1. Lost my retainer- $225
  2. Got infections in my eyes from sleeping in/wearing contacts too much- no idea but i’ve had to go to the doctor once and eye doctor 3 times plus medicine
  3. had to get glasses because of that, i haven’t had any since my last pair broke in 8th grade (wore contacts ever since)- $220

so yeah, you could say i’ve racked up some bills lately. you learn from your mistakes i guess. but like i said, hopefully i’ll still be able to get the exhaust. but from here on out, all the things bought will be with my money because first thing, i’m going to turn in many applications for a job  . anyways updates probably won’t be for a while unless we stop by steve’s to take a look at the progress
