ok thanks for the info, and yes, i celebrate Christmas, haha. but i guess it’s always good to check!
let me start off by saying i think it’s great that you’re breathing new life into something that others would have left abandoned. to see the transformation is something that is much more appreciated to the owner as upposed to just buying a mint shell/car.
i don’t think anyone in this thread has really been hating; more just throwing out opinions from experiance.
in my opinion, i wouldn’t have spent that money on the wheels and stereo system, especially if i were on a fixed budget. but that’s the path you’re taking, not me.
keep up the good work. you’re definitely ahead of me when i was your age
thanks man, i probably should have waited for wheels. but hey, i already got em. as for the stereo like i have said we got it cheap and my dad paid for it, he wanted to go ahead and get it cause we knew we would do something later anyways. i appreciate what you said a lot. it gives me confidence to keep on with the car even though it still needs work
as for getting the panel from Spoon, that’s a 2 door integra, i need the panel from a 4 door, and i’m pretty sure they are different
Ah sorry its been awhile since an update I forgot yours is a 4 door lol.

no worries. i know how it is. keep at it and keep us updated
still no luck with the panel. no updates until i get it
great news! we finally found a donor car for the panel so Steve should be picking it up tomorrow. it’s been pretty cold lately so he’s gotten behind on his other projects but he said he is going to get mine done as quick as he can. the car also has tons of interior and other parts that we can take out if I’m missing any. should have the paint done in less than a month if all goes as planned, but you see how that’s turned out so far! :werd:
just some pics i found, no news on the car. haven’t talked to steve lately
I love rooting threw my old pics:)
i know. i actually had these on my phone and sent them to photobucket. first time i did it, i didn’t even know that was possible, haha. maybe found a set of headlights, but i have to see if my dad wants to buy them or keep looking. but it’s a nice set for $100 shipped. only thing i can think of is that they are coming from Canada, but it says SHIPPED. so i assume he doesn’t expect me to cover it
Well my dad went to Steve’s today to work on the car. He sent me these pics while I was at school today. They are in the process of welding it right now. Finally getting some of the final body work done!
They finished most of it today, but ran out of wire. I assume he’s going to try to pick some up tomorrow and finish what’s left. Once that’s done and its sanded/grinded down, it should start getting blocked. Afterwards primer, then paint! Sometime soon we are probably going to take the seats to the shop along with the steering wheel, tails, ect. Right now I’m working on getting a job so I can buy a 300ex quad, but what other money I have is going into headlights, headliner material, carpet kit, and whatever else I need.
hrm never seen some one patch in like that, wheel wells yes, but usually something like that you do the whole quarter and weld down the hidden seams below the window trim and inside the door/hatch jam. but as long as it comes out smooth should be good just hard to line it up perfect like that i would think.
waiting to see what paint looks like, seems your off to a good start maybe you should think of doing a manual swap before you put the car back together?
I wish man, but I still have no job, and I need a car to get to a job. It’s on the top of my list when it gets out of paint and i get some money together, I can’t stand autos.
i’m just saying no would be an ideal time to cut up the center console since the whole thing is apart but i understand money is an issue.
i got all my suspension but now i’m hesitant to put it all in because my bushings are shot and my RTA bushings are torn in half so i gotta save up another couple hundred to order up a ES master kit and some new RTA bushings
Ouch. I bet that sucks, got all the goodies but can’t put them in. That would drive me crazy. But better to wait then mess them up. Good luck!
Well finally got some good going in this project! Went to Steve’s yesterday. We took all the sh*t out of the car except for the driver seat. We blew it off to get all the dust and whatnot off because he was planning on priming it yesterday. BUT, there was hail damage on the roof, and seeing as that’s going to be painted black, he has got to fix it really good. He threw some filler (I guess that’s what you call it) when we left so it would be dry when he get’s back. He’ll block it a couple times and when it’s done it’ll be getting primed. He told me he should have it primed on Monday and paint following I guess whenever the primer is dry. But I got some pics on my phone when I was there of some progress. Be looking forward to my car being done with paint in the next week or so!
Couldn’t fit the last one.
damn!
waiting for paint pics. looks good so far.
What happened to the pics?
