FYI EK forks work too.
hmmm. very interesting!!
looks like i’ll be doing some hybrid suspension on my teg for autoX
is this the only one that have successfully completed the conversion and has pictures of it
I’ve had trouble with the DC front forks. For some reason they were narrower and would hit my driveshafts on my 90 DA. The DC rear shocks worked fine. Other then the forks hitting the driveshafts up front the conversion worked out. The driveshaft eventually grinded the inner part of the fork after a week and no longer hit. I eventually went back with DA front shocks and forks because I didn’t like the fact that it was kinda ghetto.
Thats my experience with the conversion.
i picked up some EG forks and have some EG shocks… i’m gonna try it out and post my results… just bought a strut spring compressor just need some time now…
ive tryed gab ef9 shocks in my da6 and the rear sat dat low it was sittin on the trailing arms, it was a no no for definite, front was fine though just lowered a nice amount
Okay, new question. I searched but “EK” is too short for the search engine
I have a friend with a '98 Civic and he’s willing to trade his Tein SS for my GR2/S-Techs. Will an EK fork swap work both ways (EK to DA & DA to EK)?
I’m using EG suspenion in my car with EG front lwoer forks.
EDIT: And yes, the EG/DC forks are narrower so they rub on the axles. but for me, they only rub on full crank so no biggy.
Anybody? I’ve gotta jump on this deal SOON.
i dont think so… thats why they say EG front forks instead of EG EK DC front forks…
Wildcards are your friend.
Use “EK*”
.
Im assuming EK parts will work since they are interchangleable with DC2 and eg?
EDIT: I mean EG DC2 forks with EK struts and springs… theres no mention of this option… is it possible?
i know stupid question but
if i use the ITR springs with this swap what kind of a ride hight will i have? close to stock , low, or way low?
any pic?
i have been looking for this article…thanks man!
Yes the forks can rub, I have my EG ones machined out a bit to fit on my da6
Im looking for a rear lower tie bar and wondering if an EG/DC sway bar can work also?
This is on a JDM DA6 with an eye type rear shock
I use Bilstein typeR valved front shocks and normal Bilstein DC valved rear shocks using pro1 coilovers
I’m going to use the '96 spec R LCA’a and Forks…
If I am going to use the 96 type r LCA’s and Forks does that mean I have to use type R suspension setup then???..Are the 96 R LCA’s anf forks different than regular DC’s???
#15 & #17 are LCAs for a DC
#44 & #45 are LCAs for a DC TypeR
Front forks are the same.
The post on the first page of this thread has the description.
front forks should be the same but the rears are different right. they dont use the fork style rear shocks.
Please refer to my last post. A pic is worth 1000 words.
Forks - same
LCAs - different
you talking to me wraith?
