so far so good
i just did this a couple days ago and i removed all the parts you marked in red execpt for the cross bar and big plunger and it feels pretty good, i especially like the feedback i get on freeway turns and such.
What if I just Remove the pump and fluid cooling lines and loop it to the resevoir?
if you dont remove the innards of the valve body turning will be difficult

i need the pics for this did anyone save them?? i’d really appreciate it… i just ripped out my engine/tranny and everything’s exposed now… gotta finish it tomorrow though… thanks in advance!
They’re saved on my desktop, as is my original MS Word document.
The fact that I’m a little over 6,900 miles away from that computer does tend to throw a wrench into things.
:giggle:
i think a few chaps here have the files. maybe member turbogeekDA6 would be a good lead.

Hi,
What do you mean to the right? The previous quote said that he removed everything in red. But you said not to remove the plungers/springs with the bar going through them, so why are they in red?. Only the 2 plungers and springs to the lower right of the picture are the ones to be removed? The ones that are spaced out from eachother? Thanks in advance.
Posted up a pic to make it easier. Outlined what I am thinking of taking out and what I think I need to leave so correct me if I am wrong plz and thanks.
pics are dead, can someone post them back up?
LOOK UP DOWNLOAD THOSE FILES THEY HAVE PICTURES.:bigread:
oh wow im retarded…
i’m trying to do the ef rack and still havent found exactly whats all needed anyone know were i can find an exact tread for this. ??? bushings, tie rods, uj, etc. thanks in advance for input
It’s in here…
is it really necessary to remove the whole rack?
^^^ ni you can do it on the car, i just did mines it took about 10 minutes just gotta open the 3 screws on the side and pull out the 2 plumgers with the springs in it, then loop the lines and vss
if you didnt have a doner car you would of had to buy a bushing for the rack here i had stuff two bushings into where the one was because if you dont it will have play and you need its to be stiff
