<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<ALSO>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> If you haven’t done so already, set up your account on the BattleLog. It’s awesome, and has a nice user interface. You can stay up to date with what you’re friends are accomplishing, as well as seeing a VERY detailed list of your stats. They have apps for smart phones as well, if I’m not mistaken. Once you’ve added a friend on your battlelog, you will see their updates/unlocks, etc. on the battle feed on the main screen.
Thank god other people think this. CoD has disappointed me since World at War. They improve nothing and still think it’s the greatest game ever. My vote is on BF3 being the next biggest 1st person shooter
is there a decent single-player/campaign mode, or is it just online play?
i can’t stand the online shit…too many 9-year-olds calling you a faggot nigger jew every 3 seconds because their mothers are off somewhere sucking cock for crack.
im sure there will be a campaign mode, but like all cod campaigns its boring.and linear.just shove you down a path shooting at mindless drones.
armed:you shouldnt let the discourage you.first person shooters can be quite fun when u got a good group around you.
If i want to go play with guns around other people, I’ll gather up a few friends and hit the range.
Sometimes I just wanna sit and play a game without worrying about what the prepubescent idiots are doing to cheat this week.
Homefront was unbelievably disappointing. The campaign was really good, but REALLY fucking short. They focused way too much time on the multiplayer crap.
The campaign mode in this game is supposed to be 8-10 hours, and takes place on some rather large maps. based on what I’ve seen in several of the trailers, and gameplay footage released by Dice, the campaign seems to be far more in depth than previous installments. Though, admittedly, the main focus is the online mode. I don’t mind the tweens that play mic thugs, i just bring up the pause menu, find their names, and mute them. I can enjoy away. I use a mic, too. But, my friends and I are quite strategic in Bad Company 2.
I love that great communication, and moderate-to-decent skill, can lead to victory almost every time in Battlefield games.
8-10 hrs is still to short for the story mode, I want something in the 40+hr range, gran turismo and forza series is a several days or weeks kinda game if played nonstop I want that in a FPS war game
I just recently picked up Sniper: Ghost Warrior. Overall, the game isn’t great. But, I thought it was fun. I love stealth. I love sniping. So, a game that focused on both at all times was a winner for me. Campaign was ridiculously short, though. I haven’t dabbed in the multiplayer though.
The Battlefield 3 online beta is out today for those who played Medal of Honor (which was total crap). Everyone else gets it on Thursday. I’m looking forward to it.
My friend got into the open beta early for preordering BF3 on Origin. Looks pretty decent. Havent had a chance to play it yet. Right off the bat we noticed some bugs:
-Death color tone remains when you respawn sometimes.
-Fall through the ground and get stuck. Suicide or constant running/jumping to get out (waste of time imo. suicide.)
One thing i’m not liking about the beta at least is that games are launched through a browser…i hope that isnt the case with the final.
It does have some nice touches like vision being obstructed by an enemy’s laser or flashlight.
Open Beta opens to everyone tomorrow. Good hunting.
Minus the expected bugs/glitches from a stripped down beta, this game is amazing. The laser and flashlight obstructions are annoying because people spam the hell out of them. But, they are effective, nonetheless.
Some of the weapons, feel a bit underpowered, though. While others, seem ignorantly vicious.
Overall, for a beta, I give it a strong 8 in sheer fun factor and game mechanics. I like it. A nice, refreshing update to the Battlefield series.

hell yeah! even though the beta only has one map, its still so much fun. i used to play bad company 2 and the game was awesome, the gameplay is unlike any other fps ive played. im still interested in what mw3 will be like, but it looks like its going to take a lot to top bf3
So tired of the glitches in BF3 as well as the worlds of campers with all of the bushes you can hide in. I know MW has campers, but this is taking it to a new level. Other than that the game is cool.
people whined and bitched about not having prone. DICE listened. The community disregarded BC2’s no-prone gameplay and demanded prone in the next installment. This is why you have campers.
I don’t mind guys in the prone position. I mind them when they are inside a bush. I would like it better if they would block off those bushes, it’s impossible to see someone in there.
