thedb63's da build thread

d series with vitara/eagle setup with a gt2860rs and you get 300whp. but then i guess it’s not cheap anymore.

Ahhh. CONGRATS! on getting hitched. Hope the swap
is smooth

Congrats on getting married and your ingenius way of funding it. I wondered what happened to this build lol.

thank you guys!!! here are some pics of the honeymoon and our resort we stayed at in key west and other misc pics

just sent my mugen m7’s to wheelflip.com to get them rebarrelled…im pretty sure the owners name is sam…and has done quite a few mugen m7’s…if u look up on google motormavens.com s2k mugen m7 rebarrelled…he redid those rims…so i can trust that he is going to do a fantastic job on them…his turnaround time is outstanding as well…cant wait to get some pics up on here to show them off…im super excited…on another note…im buying a crx with legit 98 spec type r swap with lsd…so instead of a kswap or d swap, im just gonna go this route…it has toda cams…toda header…nitrous…some crazy looking cam gears…i will get pics up as soon as i get the car hopefully this weekend

Lets see some Type AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!

Hey got a quick question about you running 175/50 tires. Is there more clearance upfront then in the rear? I’m trying to see if with a 15x7 +10 rim I could get away with running 195/45. Rolling the rear or adding camber is a must but what about the front? Any idea if there would be enough clearance with the 175/50’s that a 195/45 would be do-able?

Please hit me back if you could help at all. I may just have to trial and error if all else fails.

sorry its been a while i was in in middle of buying the crx and also trying to part it out to make my money back… and also bought a 99 acura 3.2 tl …these are the better ones because the transmissions dont go as bad as the 00-03 ones…but i did end up getting it cheap because this trans has a bad torque converter…lol got it for $1000 and bought a jdm trans for $950 shipped…pretty good deal if you ask me…any ways here are some pics

here is a youtube video

now the crx has a high compression 11.5:1 d series mini me swap still converted to obd1… this was the engine i was gong to put into my DA but came the R instead…

here is the tl

there is a little bit of extra room but not much i would roll a little and then try it and if it still is about to hit roll again and like you said the only way to do it is to check and see if it rubs…

my hasport motor mounts came in finally…but jhp screwd up the order…i asked for the the hydro mount kit and they sent me the regular mount kit…so now im waiting on a phone call back from them to see what they are going to do…i hope they take care of it in a professional manner…i said i wasnt mad when i called i just want it taken care of…i shouldnt have to pay for them to go back am i correct?..i mean everything i ordered from summit is almost next day everytime and if something is wrong they send a box with a return label back for free…i feel thats should be how this goes…
