Thinking bout buying OMNI POWER coil overs, then READ THIS B4.

ouch

ohhhh, they have warrenty right?

A warranty is going to do a lot of good when that shock breaks mid corner

What are the part no’s for the omni’s? Are they made for da’s or for some other chasis?

:stare:

at least on a G2 the shock is not holding the suspension together. would be a lot worse on a car with struts.

While that is technically true, try removing the lower fork and then lowering the car. Imagine that affect at speed.

ya i was looking to but a set of omnis but when i saw that thread on H-T a while back it put a hold on new suspension. Now im gonna get a set of TEIN Basic dampners

Yarg. That’s a classic H-T thread. Lots of great information but eventually the debate just breaks down into people telling each other they don’t know what they are talking about…

holy moly. i don’t want to say anything because he is like, the lsvtec god and might striketh down upon me lol

i havent heard anything bad from Omni’s, but for the same price i would just go for some D2’s. you choose your own spring rate and i was told by people from Opak Racing that the D2’s are a better way to go for road racing and AUtoX

damn and i was just about to get them… haha…

did anyone read that he didnt change his busted blushings, creating unnatural movement of the suspension system. So i wouldnt say that omni power is liable for any damage caused due to improper installation of sus components.

yes that is true but his case wasint the only one that broke in the same spot. there have been many cases of it, not just his and his neglected bushings

Proof?

I have the Omni’s and have had nothing happen to them. I think that every new company (even though it’s a Skunk2 engineered type) would have a few bad batches, but I think it’s a little far to say that all of them will eventually have that outcome.

the same bushing has been bad on my car for at least 3 years now, but neither the stock shocks, neither the teins broke off because of it. the shocks are just fine, even if my car handles like crap because of that bushing. i bet that was just something omni came out with to get their butts saved. also i have seen the same problems on cb7’s with good bushings.

EDIT: Check This Out Omni Guys!! - CB7Tuner Forums look at the bullshit excuse omni gave him. it’s the post in the middle of the page.

Have you ordered your new revised cups yet, or are you going to?

Cups? I got them about a month after they came out to clarify.

So if you stand behind them so much that nothing is wrong with your set and only a few batches were bad then why did you order new cups?
