just curious as to what tire sizes you folks are running. I’m running 205/40/17 and every time i hit 5000 rpm under full boost i get the ole one tire fire. So let me know.
get LSD
you mite have to drop down a couple of rim size 15 or 16inch rims 17 are tire spinners… i use a 14inch rim with a 235 50 14 inch nitto 555r’s and there ok for the street it catch’s a little of 2nd gear but pulls hard third .but more tire is always more grip…
I run 17’s on the street and Bogarts on the track. LSD is Important. 17’s, 16’s, 15’s, all suck on traction with our cars turbo’d. slicks FTW!!!
planning on getting lsd… not for a while though… Just trying to find out what tire size folks are having the best experiance with… also plan to lower it this winter hopefully that helps a bit.
I daily drive and drag race on the same 17" wheels. 225/45R17 BFG drag radials. equates to a 25" tall tire. THe only tire that atleast tries to do something on the street. Gotta heatum up real well to gettem to hook real good tho. The taller tire also extends my gearing and helps a bit with traction. Poormans traction 
Get a LSD that should take care of that i had the same prob wit the same tire size:rockon:
im runnin 215/40/17’s with ok results. they aren’t much wider than the 205’s but the little extra width helps. I dont think there is too much help period with vtec and boost in 1st gear
