All these runs were on 20x6x14 slicks at about 12-14 psi.Launching at about 7500.I tried less air pressure but didnt help any.Mods on the car are aebs i/m,dc 4-2-1 header, ctr crank pulley,b16 tranny also at the track i was using a prototype velocity stack with a 3"intake.Car weighs 2475 with me in it.Best Mph of the night was 96.71.Let me know what you guys think.
that setup puts u in the 13s? i never seen a g2 w/a b16 doing those times. b16 are ok for the streets but on tracks its no where near 13s that i seen! if so, good times!
and plus a friend of mines had a complete jdm b16 in his g2 and it only ran 15.6 with i/h/e. I think b16 are garbage. and i dont understand why people dump the LS and get a b16?
yeah b16’s suck on the track my friend has a turboed 99 si with a b16 with about 400hp to the wheels and it only runs very low 11’s like 11.1 and he did hit a 10.9 also, so yeah your right b16’s were never made for the dragstrip and should be banned in all cases! The only advantage the LS motor has over the B16 is torque, from a dead stop a b16 stock Vs. a LS stock would be pretty close and the LS should take it from the line but after about the top of 2nd the B16 would pull away, and from a roll a b16 would rape a LS, torque is only good for so much, if you read dyno charts, for high reving motors like hondas, they make all their power up high which is where the LS lacks, because the b16 has way better top end, whoever told you b16’s suck needs to be :whip:
This argument is :gay:, each motor has its own advantages and disadvantages. On to the timeslip… That is an IMPRESSIVE time for those mods on a b16 DA. Props to you. Can you post the slip as to eliminate the doubters and shiet talkers?
