Trailing arm bushing development.

Lets all get back to T&A!

ben, i hate this thread because i bought new trailing arms just for the bushings.

Its not like your actually building a car or anything.

And Schu, you may be right from an “actual standpoint”, but I’ve seen these parts, they are waaay more stiff(werd) then 20% more then stock.

Outstanding… So it’s EF mugen bushings for the lot of us! Anyone have a connection for a Groupy Buy? Is “king” the only place to get these things?

And stop Honking at me… :stuck_out_tongue:

Good stuff. This info will come in handy on my new “project” that I am about to start on. I cant wait to be back in a honda… Only a week or so until that happens.

I’d be in for a group buy - noticed that mine are almost ripped through when I put my wheels on Monday.

This is something I run into quite often as well, and like stated above it is in the grammar and not the % used. If you say something is 120% as stiff, that means it is 1.2X the original stiffness or an additional 1/5th stiffness. If you say something is 120% stiffer, that translates to (1+1.2)x original. This is confusing but most advertising tools are.

Can you confirm this is the TRAILER ARM BUSHING part NUMBER?

FOR A DA

That is the part number for the EF bushing that you have to buy from a honda dealer. The acura dealers wont stock that part.

Read through the whole thread and you will find all the info you are asking for here.

Now stop being lazy and start reading. :whip:

asking

The reason I am asking, is I was at my local ACURA not honda (as I have never bough my parts from a HONDA Dealer)
And the guy behind the desk told me he can order ACURA Trailer arm bushings for my car. At the time I did not have cash or the time to install. But I personally know the guy at the dealer… so I will buy it from him at a later date.

When I do I will post the part number.

Other people as well (Altech Performance) have also told me that they can order DA trailer arm bushings with no problem. They are acura parts not honda. Honeslty I have no idea what car they are ordering from, but he claims it is possible.

???

Maybe you canucks are holding out on us imperialistic americans

Get some part numbers from your friend at the dealer and we will see if they really exist.

prob next week

Probably next week I will go check him out. If I get any info, I will let you know.

I need to do mine, but really need to find a shop that will do the pressing for me near my house. I can get the old out… but need someone to press the new in.

Oooo! Goody!

Please post the part #'s… I was about to order the EF part, but if one exists for our G2, I’ll go for that!

Are you sure he wasn’t referring to the bushing for the G3 integra? I read those are the same as smaller EF bushings…

I called acura today and talked to the parts department about ordering one for the DA. They do not sell it seperately from the rear trailing arm.

A lot of times you cant trust the parts guys (no offense to vern and scott, they know their shit). The people at honda told me you couldnt buy them separate also. Then I told them about the bulletin and they stopped arguing with me.

Ben

I’m still kind of confused…what better, EF bushing or DC TA with Mugen bushing.

neither is better… but the latter will be more expensive (unless you can sell your DA arms for the price you bought the DC’s for)

I’m in the process of finishing the rest of my bushing and the rear trailing arms is next on my list.

I was at a local dealer with a friend on Saturday. I asked how much they could get the bushings for, and the guy said they can’t. So I pulled up this thread on his computer, and he entered the part number and it came back good, but had no info on what vehicles the bushing fit.

They wanted $58 a bushing though.

$58/bushing? Thats $116 (not including tax) for the set, you can get the Mugen’s from King for $115 shipped.
