Trailing arm bushing development.

Just sent them another email asking for part# again and if that was only $71 for both sides if I just brought them the TA’s. Even $355 for both sides with arms still on car doesn’t seem excessive. I have had places quote me $305-355 for replacing each arm (parts) and then 6-10 hrs labor (let’s see at $60/hr that = 610 + 360 around 1k. That is insane!

Sounds like you’re going to get the shaft. Let me find out if this all works. It should save us some moolah.

Here is the latest response back from A&H:

Shawn,
$71.00 is for both sides if the arms are out. Please email evan.ahmotor@verizon.net for all service quotes. The part number is as follows:
52385-SK7-N02
I am sure we could take care of the full master bushing kit for you. Energy offers a graphite impregnated bushing set which helps reduce the squeaks.

With arms out, is that $71 total or per side? Also, can you get me a part # for the actual bushing? I posted a copy of your quote on G2IC and the response was basically - no way! They don’t seem to believe there is an actual Honda/Acura part # for OEM replacement of the trailing arm bushing. If you could clear this up it would be great.

hmmm. It seems that neither aaparts.org or haparts.com cary/know about it.

Canada maybe? Anyone want to call their dealer? Scott? Vern?

If that IS a t/a bushing, I CAN get those…???

list is 57 ea, 2 days to get here…

I’ve never seen that p # before…

o, and p.s. , there is only 8 left in the country…

EDIT, I ordered the rest of them,
they’ll be here in 2 days.

Will honda make more??? or discontinued?

Not sure right now… We’ll see.

GO SCOTT!!!

Save those TA bushings for the IC swap party

By the way, I just noticed that it is an SK7 part number so its DA specific!? When did those come out?

Like I said Archon, I’ve never seen it, but since I CAN order it, it must fit a del slo or sumthin… I put the number under my “parts fits?” dealy, and it says, “no matches”

roger that.

Duy post up your findings about orientation and how the new arms look. bring’em by if you have the time

You guys will be the first to know when I pick them up.

If u want to compare that T/A bushing to a Mugen DC one, i have mine we can use. side by side comparison measurement, pics, etc…

That is what happened at the Honda dealer here when they tried the EF bushing part number.

cool!

Ben

I’ll take a set as soon as you are sure that they are DA specific! I have PAYPAL ready.

cwharris@optonline.net

It turns out there are more of those…
There seems to be a supply of them in Alpharetta, GA.
I still have the last 8 on the west coast comin here…

Xenocron, you should just be able to order that number from your Honda dealer over there, since I don’t paypal and usually don’t ship…If you have any problems let me know.

Robbie, lets do that, i’ll call you when they come,
i’m sure the Mooogens are much harder tho, it may not be worth it…

SCott well i already got the DC trailing arms in that bought from u when were still across the street. so my bushings are brand new. i;m just holding on to the Mugen ones so that when another 10yrs passes, if the T/A bushings are shot i got me some niiiiice replacements

Now that’s a comber. :stuck_out_tongue:
