turbo B18B rebuild tips

armed ferret, just like you never said anything about “OEM parts” and i misunderstood, i never said anything about “factory cast rods”. if i was going to use the crank i definately would have used aftermarket rods, not stock. all i’m asking for is advice, i don’t see why you are acting like you are. you don’t have to be a wise ass, if you really wanted a laugh you would have been smart and let me overbuild and use parts that weren’t worth it, and laughed when i posted a thread saying that my shit blew up.

smokeintegra, thanks for all the advice and you are definately right about me needing to do research and get more info, that’s why i’m posting the thread. also thanks for not being like ferret and saying shit like he is. at least you understand that i’m looking for advice and aren’t acting like i think i know everything cause i know i don’t. and about the crank, i’m used to old muscle and like you said about the 5.0 mustangs you need to replace cranks after a few hundred hp. i’m relatively new to imports so i wasn’t sure of things like that.

Well if you use that flashing search button up top, people like armed ferret wouldn’t mess with you, because all your answers are out there. we were once in your shoes, and reading is fundamentals. all this has been said over and over again, and some people get sick of it because all you had to do was search for it, hence the hazing you’ve been getting. it also helps when asking a question, that you know at least the fundamentals behind them…i.e. stroker crank… in all, it is best to always search first, and if you don’t see the answer you were looking for, then ask…simple

There are plenty more in the search feature, and like I said…if you can’t find it, then start a thread.

well, i guess i’m sorry for pissing people off but i’ve tried searching for some things and i just don’t have time to go through 11 pages of posts. my opinion is that if you are going to get irritated by someone who is repeating a question than why even reply or look at the thread? just move on to the next. but it’s ok i completely understand why it happens. and i do know some of the things about the parts i’ve asked about. i just wanted some input from other builders on how the parts worked with them or if they know of some better parts that are out there so i don’t waste time. but i also don’t want to build something exactly like everyone elses build.

The reason we get pissed is because next time we do a search, your thread will be one more that pops up on those 11 pages with nothing in it.

We have to look at the thread to see what you’re asking. Once it’s determined that you’re asking something fairly common, we then try and help you with subtle hints that maybe it’s been covered once or twice before, or that your idea is just plain dumb. When it’s obvious that subtle hints don’t work because you are of substandard intellect, we then resort to having fun at your expense.

There’s more of that subtle hinting in the statement above. before you let it run up your ass without lube (thus causing you to get butthurt over it), give it some thought and you might learn a thing or three.

alright, my bad. i’ll work on it. i don’t mean to inconvenience anyone.
