ok i have a spare b18a block waiting to be rebuilt because the one in my car has almost 300k on it and its showing. i was planning on building that block for a turbo setup for about 10-15psi of boost maybe 20 on ocasion. so far a have looked into these internals from crower:

and either one of these depending on how bad the cylinder walls are

how does this sound so far. i won’t realy know what condition my block is in untill i have a chance to tear it apart but i’m just looking for a rough idea of what i’m gonna need
I just wanted to add in that i myself also have over 337k miles and its still running good but a lil weak. Does burn oil as well, but anyway I have an extra motor i rebuilt it to stock spec with new rings andand everything.
All i really want to do is boost the stock motor up to about 8-10psi MAX or up to 200-225whp max no more. it will be my DD and so far all i have done was sleeve, clean and shot peen the rods and used arp rod bolts. I still need to get head studs though. And also plan to knife edge the crank& polish micro etc. Everything else is going to be stock parts coz i am keeping redline at about 6600-6800rpm only.
I am more of the fast spool quick boost type rather then top end. I think it should be ok this setup.
ok i finally got a chance to pull the motor out (one handed due to a pinched nerve in my elbow) and got it stripped down to the block, pistons, rods, and crank. does this look normal for about 211k miles w/ no rebuild?
mines worse than that lol… 222k with no rebuild and looks about 1.5times as bad.,…
so it looks like its in good condition?
you are wasting your money going with crower rods, eagle rods are good enough for you.
but if your rebuilding it, id hope you were boring it out to a 81.5 or so… id imagine the sleeves need a little work. other than that, looks good.
yeah i plan on a complete rebuild, ground up u know. i wanna push as much boost as posible. reliably, it’ll take some time but yeah i wanna show all the rednecks in this town with camaros and all the rich bitches with the m3s and turboed celicas and shit like that that a honda can push just as much if not more than there cars. i know a build v8 can double if not triple a honda but i live in idaho come on. how many guys have twin turboed chevys in a town of 4k
turbociv910 :what about these?
